Ouch to the car bill MWC...
Love the ideas of Balsamic Vinegar fried red onions on a pizza - must try that next time I make our cheeseless pizza using rosemary flatbreads.

Yes, if I was in dire straits. It's not that bad though and we do have a sizeable emergency fund - I just don't like spending it... :rotfl:

I had to WFH today as my car is still at the garage (should get it back tomorrow evening) and Mr MWC needed to use his - 50 miles petrol saved :T
I may have been distracted by the lovely weather and "finding" more seeds...One raised bed divided into 9 squares using spring onion seed tape (slightly odd gift from brother's MIL!) and planted/sowed with rocket, turnip, lettuce - lollo rosso, parsley, cavelo nero, lettuce - bronze-red cos, leaf salad - Californian mix and 2 spaces left for callaloo and land seaweed.
The annual MWC vs sycamore seedlings battle has begun

I'm glad somebody else hasn't managed to sweep up all the sycamore seeds
this year and last, I've found a *lot* more than previously - I'm starting to wonder if the winds have been stronger in a particular direction
2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

I collected my car this evening and it passed the ultimate "I've spent all that money but is it really fixed?" test - stuck in a rush hour traffic jam on the motorway and it didn't overheat :T

Glad to hear you've got wheels again
Loved reading your planting escapades - with only my tiny balcony, I'm living vicariously through youa penny picker upper. MFW approx 78% to go | FIRE 3 years worth (30% savings rate: now aiming for 40%!) | Normality is a paved road; it's comfortable to walk, but no flowers grow on it | Whatever you're meant to do, do it now. The conditions are always impossible | The only thing you absolutely have to know, is the location of the library0 -
I'll post some photos (when things start growing!) especially for you P*M
I've just bought some more plants (Begonia 'Inferno')but, in my defence, I have been waiting for T&M to reduce the price before ordering and they look fabulous in my hot colour planting scheme
