Ouch to car bill:eek: we may be facing one also - a very strong gust of wind pulled the car door out of Mr GG's hand and onto a wall  Little Blue Car has her first dent and it's catching on the rear door openingA positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Ouch to car bill
Head gaskets are best fixed before they go totally, though - mine went on a car years ago and it created other engine problems
Do you mean the garage charge a 2% fee for CC payments?? Wow! I've never heard of a garage do that before (holiday companies, yes!)

Yes!!! I'm not used to spending real money - I normally put everything on the CC and pay it off the next month.
I should be able to find enough cash without withdrawing money from the ISAs or regular saver - just - but it will mean using the money we have in a savings account for our nieceand selling lots of eggs so I have some miscellaneous spending money!

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!0 -

2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
I was very pleased with my outlet spends KC and I got a free £10 GV to use in any store in April. I could have made do with what I have for another month or two though... It never crossed my mind that the car would be so expensive (local garage thought it might have been a faulty sensor!)
In better news, I've lost 3.5 lbs this week - 9.5 lbs in 3 weeks and 4.5 lbs off goal :jMortgage at highest (April 2008): ~£195,000

4.5 mile walk in the sunshine after lunch to pick up pre-ordered plug plants from the garden centre with a 40% discount

Seeds still to sow:
Vegetables - dwarf runner bean 'pickwick', dwarf french bean 'purple teepee', lettuce - bronze-red cos 'dixter', radicchio 'firestorm', rapini, carrot 'rainbow mix'

Oops, that's rather a lot
I celebrated the weight loss with pizza and a glass of red wine for tea  :rotfl: Our version of Waitrose's BNS & goat's cheese pizza using the frozen rosemary pizza dough topped with HM tomato & basil sauce, red onions fried with balsamic vinegar, BNS roasted with rosemary & garlic, light mozzarella and goat's cheese. The original has pine nuts as well but we forgot to add them.
