    Glad you're feeling better :T
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Thank heavens! Very glad to hear it.
2023: the year I get to buy a car
  • I was pain-free for 12 hours.
The pain was intermittent this morning but I've been in constant pain since lunchtime :(
We've cancelled our weekend away :( (although Mr MWC will still go to the rugby)
I've cancelled next week's business trip :( (boss was very understanding but £3,500 non-refundable flights )
14,000+ steps today (mainly pacing :()
Mortgage at highest (April 2008): ~£195,000
    Mortgage-free: January 2021
Retired: June 2022 (186 months early!)
  • Mr MWC left for Newcastle at 07:30 and will pick up his dad on the way. I've managed to get the pain under control with 25 mg codeine, 1000 mg paracetamol and 400 mg ibuprofen every 4 hours but there are still 47 hours until the dental practice opens, so I need to keep myself occupied...

Potter in garden - I've already weeded the large raised bed this morning but there's lots more to do
    Clean chicken coop
Laundry - second load almost done
Housework - too many weeks of just swishing and swiping so need to start a deep clean
    Freezer/larder inventory and meal planning
Mortgage at highest (April 2008): ~£195,000

You local major hospital will probably have an emergency dentist you could see.

This does sound like an emergency, I'm sorry to say :(

  • You think? It's not life or death and my teeth haven't been knocked out (although that does sound quite tempting!). Pain is bearable at the moment so I think I'll monitor.

    Hello MWC

I started reading your diary a few months ago, and much enjoyed including hearing about the girls and some of your amazing meals, but then lost the thread. You've made great progress on your journey.

Happy to find you back this morning, but sorry you are so sore - toothache is horrible!
For whatever it's worth, I was once travelling and very sore, and someone suggested putting a soluble aspirin / disprin on the gum nearest the pain - it basically dissolves on it and kind of anaesthetises … pretty sure not a long term solution or dealing with the underlying problem, but it might help over the weekend …

Hope you feel better quickly, and look forward to following you going forward
