  • :j Thank you so much - sounds yummy. Will have to do that one for lunches next week I think. :j AG

If you are going to eat it over several days, my tip would be to make it without the spinach then add the spinach when you reheat a portion - otherwise the spinach goes slimy :p

  • Cheese toasties with soup are always good!

Hadn't spotted that recipe in the magazine, must go back and have another look.

You also expressed an interest in morrocan food. Have you got any tips for a good cook book?

    Cheers

    Sorry MCI, I forgot :o

I was thinking of middle eastern not moroccan... but it turns out that the book is actually eastern mediterranean! Silvana Rowe's Purple Citrus & Sweet Perfume.

Claudia Roden's Arabesque: A Taste of Morocco, Turkey and Lebanon has good reviews on Amazon and it's on my wishlist :D

    Hi MWC

Just wanted to wish you a belated happy birthday  from a fellow January birthday-er (not sure that is a word but you get what I mean lol :D) . Mine was Sunday so it's been a celebratory week for me too. Your lunch sounds wonderful - glad you enjoyed it.

I'm also very jealous of your forthcoming trip to Mexico - sounds fabulous. Just out of curiosity - do you have someone chicken-sitting?

    BW :)
  • Good news at work today... this month we are being paid a whole day early :j Still 7 days away though :(

A bit of a spendy day as I needed to buy petrol (£39.37). I had hoped to get to the weekend without filling up but my lift share couldn't drive today

I also had to pop into Sainburys on the way home. I used the last £10.00 worth of points on my nectar card  (started the month with £92.50 but includes spend of £16.00 on Brita filters) and 93p real money on milk, bread and vegetables

    I sold 2 boxes of eggs today - 1 for £1.25, 1 for £3.00

Garlicky mushrooms and artichokes with eggs for dinner

Just 1 green egg from Miss M today

Happy belated birthday to you too BW

I'll ask the neighbours to chicken-sit - they are usually very happy to do so for the egg-collecting perks :D
