Making chicken feed of my mortgage

Just had quick catchup with my muesli ... shame about the lettuces, will you plant any more or call it a day for this season?
Good news for Miss Clarissa learning the bedtime routine, I think these darker earlier and quicker evenings are making a difference, mine definitely don't faff around as much as they did in the summer twilight.
How rude to miss you off the intranet list, although Greying is quite right with her perspective on that! Sounds like a miscommunication or failure to pass on the right info to the right person, which companies are pretty good at unfortunately!
How did your spicy pears turn out, or is that a task for this weekend? x
 Hbbb
I've still got my fingers crossed that the lettuce recover...
Miss Tilly learnt quite quickly but the other 2 were roosting in the run (after the first week I left them to it because me picking Miss Clarissa up and putting her in with her tormentors was stressing her out). Then with this week's cooler nights Miss Effie started putting herself to bed in the coop and a couple of nights later all 9 were in there :T
Promotion story has been deleted from company intranet!
I'll be up to my elbows in spicy pear pickle tomorrow... I need to make another batch of crab apple jelly before I stink the house out!Mortgage at highest (April 2008): ~£195,000

What a pain about the company! Great about everything else, except the sycamores - are you meaning because they grow into sycamores at the drop of a hat, or do you have ponies and horses nearby? They're killers
an online friend of mine lost a 2 year old pony that way
They're poisonous to dogs, too. Dreadful things.

I remember you writing about your friend's pony beforebut I didn't know about dogs

Eggs IN 5

The culinary genius aka Mr MWC has burnt soup whilst reheating it - he blames a work phone call, I blame his hangover :rotfl:
He will get a chance to redeem himself at dinner with Anjum Anand's Bengali butternut squash with chickpeas and white cabbage stir-fried with nigella seeds
I've treated myself to a snuggly red fleece Tu top (25% off) that matches my brushed cotton jim jams - the idea being that the CH will stay off for a few more weeks...

So much to do and so little energy... hopefully I'll have a bit more get up and go after a second cup of tea!
Plan for the weekend:
- finish spiced crab apple jelly
- make 2 batches of spicy pear pickle (each one takes about 5 hours to cook )
- find some more jars for Mr MWC - he wants to make piccalilli this weekend
- 5 loads of laundry
- walk into town/shopping
- general tidy up in the garden
- paint the front garden fence
- a ramble
- housework
- power wash the chicken coop

I don't actually eat anything I make KC!
Well that's not quite true - I eat the spicy pear pickle and piccalilli but only at Christmas and we use the hedgerow jelly instead of redcurrant jelly in recipes - everything else is gifted to friends and family
