Yes you're right, poor old bubble and squeak only usually gets a look in around Boxing Day time! And with HM pickled onions too, it's starting to feel a lot like Christmas around here! I'm sure Tilly will be able to share how many days! x

  • Still no official news - all second hand news from a good source

Looks like I'm going to get a new job title, a new job description (one that actually reflects my role) and a new grade

Looks like I'm not going to get a pay rise, improved benefits, a career progression plan or another chance of promotion ever

What would happen if you handed in your resignation?

    To you/ to them?

Maybe not one for the board - but you have played with the idea I trust.

Do what is right for YOU and good luck
  • Hello Mr GG

Unfortunately, HR has no appreciation of my role or responsibilities so they wouldn't bat an eyelid if I resigned... It is HR that are the issue and apparently my boss is VERY frustrated/angry.

As much as I would like to resign and we could survive on 1 salary, I really do need another job to go to first.

I need to start job-hunting seriously and to make contact with the new department head of the same function in our parent company.
