Hi ed - it's good to "see" you

Project 333 is a capsule wardrobe challenge in which you dress with 33 items or less for 3 months/a season.
When I first decluttered my wardrobe of all the things that didn't fit, I didn't actually have 33 items left :rotfl:Mortgage at highest (April 2008): ~£195,000
Mortgage-free: January 2021
Retired: June 2022 (186 months early!)0 -
Eggs IN 4
Eggs OUT 0
Plants IN 17
(12 x antirrhinum 'Scarlet', 1 x cucumber, 1 x nemesia 'Aromatica Scarlet', 1 x bush fuchsia 'Orange Crush', 1 x dark red gazania and a freebie petunia 'Easy Wave Red')
Plants OUT 3 - marigolds - slugs
£1,250 MOP'd - on target to be <£100,000 by year end :T but I still haven't decided what to do with the rest
I've managed to stay awake all day but I've not really been very productive...Mortgage at highest (April 2008): ~£195,000

Until I come up with a better plan, I've opened a N/wide ISA (2.5%) online with the maximum deposit and temporarily transferred the rest of the spare money into our holiday savings a/c (pays slightly higher interest than our current a/c). I'm hoping to get plenty of excellent advice at the weekend from a couple of experts

Sounds good. Then you can fill everyone in with your new-found knowledge on Sunday :T.A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Loved reading up about project 333 and found a friend already doing it. Will not add to things to do at the moment -but - def promise there!Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!0 -

Hi MWC, just had a quick catch up ... what a busy time you've been having!
Well done on the extra pay, glad that's going in the right direction even if job itself is a little shaky :T
Sounds like your garden's well in hand and ready to burst forth once the good weather comes back!
Good news about recruiter and for [STRIKE]schmoozing[/STRIKE] networking with someone from promotions during trip, it doesn't hurt to get yourself noticed by the right people!
I've been doing the 33 items thing since start of April. What's interesting is that I found it quite hard to identify just 33 items but now that I have, as I wear then launder each item I've been returning it to one side of the wardrobe only (I have a kind of noticeable garment hanging as a dividing line) and it's showing me that actually out of the 33 there are still only a few key things that I go to regularly. I'm really not sure what affects this most - weight or weather issues: some things I just won't wear when I'm feeling fat and just can't wear when I'm feeling cold! I don't know how you managed to make a decision about packing for other climates too! Hats off to you!
Hope you feel a little more rested soon xStash busting 2014 45 / 60 (balls of yarn)!

I chatted to a recruiter earlier this evening about an interesting job so tonight I need to update my hopelessly out-of-date CV... not sure if I'll get an interview but it's worth a shot. He has already spoken with one of my colleagues so there will be some stiff competition...
The promotion board is on Friday so hopefully I'll find out next week if my schmoozing last week was successful :rotfl:Mortgage at highest (April 2008): ~£195,000

Eggs IN 3 (+ I bought 6 FR duck eggs)
Eggs OUT 12 (2 boxes sold for £2.50)
There was a farmer's market at work today - I bought a FR chicken, the duck eggs and a couple of punnets of local strawberries :T
I was contacted by another recruiter today... this time for a position in Vienna  Unfortunately, I don't have the management experience they're looking for
