A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Vienna? Would 'the girls' need passports? Can you imagine the kerfuffle in the photobooth whilst they did their make-up and picked their 'best sides' :rotfl:

Plants IN 0 :T I decided to avoid the temptation of the Morrision's garden centre whilst in town by avoiding Morrisons altogether!

It's a pleasant evening here - sun's out and the wind has dropped slightly - I'm off to potter in the garden before Mr MWC gets home :)

I'm really enjoying my garden this year :j

Dwarf bean, corn salad, rocket, lettuce, pak choi, beetroot, carrot, coriander and chervil seeds sown and sweetcorn x6 and courgette x1 planted out :D I forgot to sow some more mixed salad leaves so that is a job for tomorrow along with earthing up the bag of potatoes and I also need to pot up my padron chilli seedlings :)

    SFG spreadsheet updated :T

Mr MWC is making a green vegetable (pea, asparagus, flat bean, mangetout, wet garlic) risotto for dinner and I've opened a bottle of chablis

I couldn't resist the larkspur kingsize scarlet in Waitrose - my name is MWC and I am a plantaholic...

Today has been a spendy day:
A 70-mile round-trip to have my haircut - unfortunately it appears that she cut out all the brown hairs and left the grey ones :( :rotfl:
I also popped into the lingerie shop and bought 2 bras (£41 each ). According to their database, I last bought new bras in 2010... oh the shame :o:o:o

And I popped in and had a cup of tea with my dad :)

  • There's obviously been a dearth of nominations for our inaugural department excellence awards as a reminder has been sent out and the VP has even said that self nominations are acceptable.

It just feels wrong diddly wrong wrong to nominate myself but there is a cash prize up for grabs...

I will nominate myself in the category of Exceptional Delivery; however, I'll do it as a joint nomination with a couple of US-based colleagues who contributed to the project :)
