Making chicken feed of my mortgage

Guided fungal foray sounds fab. Have fancied doing those too. Look forward to hearing delights from that!Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!0 -
I'm alive!!!!
This was the third fungal foray we've been on Watty and I'm signed up for next year - I'm not confident enough to pick mushrooms without an expert there to tell me if it's edible or not!
One member of our group found a large cauliflower mushroom

I think we got off fairly lightly with the storm - only 1 branch down from trees at the bottom of the garden and it missed the chicken run... just  One of my colleagues has no power

My journey to work wasn't much fun though - a 25-mile drive that normally takes 45 minutes took me 2 hours and 10 minutes as the road was blocked in 2 places
My day didn't get much better when I got to work and now I have a headache. It's a real stonker that has beaten 2 lots of painkillers

What a beautiful morning

The sun is shining, I got to work in 35 minutes (considerably better than yesterday and 10 minutes better than normal due to half-term), my stonking headache has gone and Natty is back :T
Still no heating on for heating purposes - it was a bit chilly this morning but then I did have the windows open to try and rid the house of the smell of spicy pear pickle...
Have a good day everyone

Sorry for the rushed message the morning MWC, I've has a quick skeck* on your diary and am glad to see all the chooks are well and I hope Ms MWC's eggs are back to high quality standard. Also just to double check IN CASE I've missed anything, but are B, G and LRH all oakydoaky?
Glad to see you're also keeping both Mary Berry and Kirstie Allsop suitably in awe of your home cooking/baking/crafting talents:D

Hi Natty
Misses B, G & LRH are all very well. Miss LRH still trys to jump in the treat bucket every morning
They, and Miss D, are the only chooks laying fairly regularly with the odd egg from Miss M too. Miss MWC hasn't laid since the last softie but seems to be well in herself. The remaining 3 are also freeloading!

Just back from a walk through town (where I managed to buy some bargainous ripe melon for tomorrow's chicken treat :T...) and I was shocked to see that the Christmas decorations are up
Not sure when the big switch-on is but it's not even November...

Decs up in Oxford St and even this old cynic was impressed with Selfridges window displays :T.A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
