Worth being woken up for :T:T:T
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
    :) Mortgage Balance = £0 :)

I think you should run work shops on HM preserves - I'd come :T

Well done on all the goodies xxxxx

    Me too!!:T
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

  • I have some MSE news :rotfl:

Today I have eaten a free lunch at work, received a free copy of GW magazine through the RM survey and claimed £77.32 TCB :T

    Eggs IN 3
Eggs OUT 6 (1 box sold for £1.30)
Mortgage at highest (April 2008): ~£195,000
    Mortgage-free: January 2021
Retired: June 2022 (186 months early!)
  • Mr MWC excelled himself in the kitchen tonight - pork chops and a warm borlotti bean, swiss chard and sage salad with a mustard dressing :D

Roll on tomorrow lunchtime and the start of my weekend!

Eggs OUT 12 (1 box sold for £1.50, 1 box given to a colleague)

My afternoon off whizzed by in a flash :( I took my car to the hand car wash and then walked into town.

I've finally made an appointment to get my eye's tested - tomorrow morning at 09:20. My employer will reimburse me for the cost of the test and up to £120 for glasses.

I've also bought the ingredients for another batch of spicy pear pickle so I'll be making that at some point over the weekend.

  • I need reading glasses :(

No surprise there as I need to zoom in on my laptop in order to read my MFW diary...!

Total cost for eye test + 1 pair glasses + 1 pair free glasses = £214 but I should be able to claim back £145 from work

We spent a lovely afternoon visiting my friend on her houseboat. We don't have a lot of "stuff" but I don't think we could do tiny living

My diary has gone full circle and is now repeating itself... tomorrow we are going on a guided fungal foray :D

    you're pickles sound lovely.
I've made a few recently and I'm really enjoying it.
I think a new hobby is emerging!

The fungal foray was very good - a beautiful sunny morning and lots of mushrooms :T

Orecchiette with gorgonzola, wild mushrooms & radicchio for dinner - if I don't post tomorrow evening, we misidentified something...

More spicy pickle cooking this evening and tomorrow evening - the house was still smelly from the first batch!

I'm tired :( It has been a busy weekend and I could have done with a lazy one :)
