  • Just a quick post before I head off to bed with a headache :(

Porcini, chickpea and cavalo nero soup for dinner - edible but I won't be making it again!

NSD No. 10 for November :D
Mortgage at highest (April 2008): ~£195,000
    Mortgage-free: January 2021
Retired: June 2022 (186 months early!)
  • An hour late leaving work but never mind... hurrah, it's the weekend :j
Eating leftovers for lunch and thinking about doing some housework!

Miss F was all wobbley again this morning so I left her in the conservatory. She's fine now and is in the garden with the others :)

2 eggs today BUT 1 had a very thin shell and I put my finger through it - yeuk

  • I've reviewed the bank accounts and there appears to be £509.71 surplus to requirements in the joint account so I have OP'd £500 to the FA. The FA is now in the 77s :T (the original mortgage is still in the 88s but I'm ignoring that one for the time being!)

There's probably another £500 surplus in my account but I want to hang on to that for another week or so before OP'ing - just in case...

  • So, my 2012 MFW target was £6,900 (equivalent to paying the FA twice a month, every month) and my current OP total is £7,375 :j

I was just looking at my Goals for 2012 and one of my financial goals (before I became a proper MFW) was to OP the mortage by £1000 per quarter... so I've well and truly smashed that target to smithereens too :D:D:D

Awesome - well done MWC :T

    :) BW
  • Thanks BW!

Mr MWC left today for a 5-day business trip to Portugal... lucky so-and-so...

I had cold HM Christmas pudding (an individual one not a huge one!) and leftover single cream for dinner :D

My only spend today was a donation to Children in Need

  • Thanks moneycurious

Miss F is still wobbley and (unlike on previous days) she didn't seem to get any better as the day progressed :( She's still eating and pooing though so fingers crossed for a recovery...

Today was a big spend day. I went clothes shopping. I hate clothes shopping and my mood wasn't improved when I realised that the shop I wanted to buy a pair of trousers from had closed down  So I spent 4 hours and £150 shopping in person and another 2 hours and £250 shopping online - I'm not planning on keeping everything I've bought though.

I'm still a bit headachy :( so another early night for me

Oh, eggy bread for tea and 1 egg today

    Today I need to:

    [STRIKE]Shower[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Dress[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Menu plan[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Write shopping list[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Go to Morrisons - spend £40 on things I need or storecupboard items and not a
penny more [/STRIKE]- no where near £40 :(
[STRIKE]Go to the chicken place and buy feed, corn & grit[/STRIKE]
Laundry x 3 loads - 2 loads done and first load re-done because I dropped it in the mud
Housework - high priority jobs include shine kitchen sink, clean bathroom, change bedding, hoover upstairs, tidy Mr MWC's office (so he has enough room to make a mess in on his return!) and clean the conservatory (Miss F isn't house-trained and not all the poo is on the newspaper...)
    Clean the chicken coop

But first, I'm going to put the kettle on and have another cup of tea :D

  • So I stuck to the shopping list and spent £68.69 in Morrisons  and £24.40 at the chicken place

    Analysis of supermarket receipt:

    £1.30 on chicken treats (spinach)
£0.00 on food for the wild birds
    £16.56 on vegetables
    £5.76 on fruit
    £5.75 on dairy
    £6.48 on meat/poultry/fish
    £2.38 on toiletries
    £1.79 on cleaning products
£24.43 on storecupboard items (cereal, dried fruit, nuts, seeds, bay leaves, stock cubes, tinned beans)
    £4.24 on bread
    £0.00 on Christmas

    Must try harder next week...
