Back that statement up with actual meter readings going back several months if you can. That will help ascertain your metered usage and whether or not you have been paying enough to cover it.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the In My Home MoneySaving, Energy and Techie Stuff boards. I think you are missing the point. However much electricity you use, your £48 hasnt been enough to cover it so each month you have gone deeper into debt with it.
Unless of course you post reading like others have asked, and they will be able to confirm what you say or not.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

I think there must be something wrong. We are a family of 4, have the heating on most days, lights are left on all over the house at times, have a dishwasher, tumbledrier, TV, 4 laptops, tv box, cooker, massive fridge/freezer, Playstation, showers 4 times a day, gas fire on most evenings, 4 phones charging, landline phone, iron, kettle, toaster and our monthly combined bill from Eon is £119. Something is definitely wrong. The forest would be very silent if no birds sang except for the birds that sang the best0

I am confused - the energy supply is in your own name, but your tenancy agreement prohibits you from changing supplier. Why would a landlord impose such a condition - it may well be unenforceable (take advice from Shelter or CAB)
You are clearly able to read your own meter, but you don't seem to be able to translate your readings into a 'cost' - the EON call centre would probably do this for you over the phone if you asked them to
I live alone in a one-bedroomed flat, and I use my electric heating very sparingly. Last year, my energy costs were £380.0 -
For the record of what bills I'd expect, I live alone and I recently rented a 1-bed annexe where I had to buy £5 cards from the landlord and shove them in the meter - so certainly won't have been on the best tariff in the world.
Heating was "included" in my rent and so no cost there. I was at home almost 24/7 and had the following running:
PC - 24 hours/day 7 days/week.
Flat panel TV on 16 hours/day
Small fridge/freezer on full-time.
Electric shower, short showers most days.
Washing machine used 1x a week on a 40 degree setting.
Electric oven, on for 30 minutes every 2-3 days.
Microwave oven on 5 minutes/day.
Kettle boiled 4x a day
Toaster used 2-3x a week.
Hardly used electric lights at all.
Phone charged occasionally, say once a week.
I was using £1/day.0 -
Something is definitely wrong "littleun1"
I pay £74 a month and must be using 5+ times as much elec as you..0 -
I wonder if you're reading the right meter - any chance you're reading a neighbour's?0

Posting the Quid figures is pointless, post the kWh consumption, tariff etc. littleun1 reinstate your DD immediately, you're shooting yourself in the foot my friend. Post the kWh consumption figures from your online account, if you hav'nt got a paperless online account - what tariff are you on ?Disclaimer : Everything I write on this forum is my opinion.
