OK, that's definitely by design.
I have a theory!
You're looking in the 'favourites' tab, but have you actually marked any contacts as favourite? My guess is you haven't, but if you had, they would be 'fully lit' to stand out from the list of 'frequently contacted' people.0 -
thanks again rusty, thats a good theory never thought of that, one of the contacts should be a favourite already(woman in 02 shop said she had added sons number as a favourite) i will try and work out how to add contact as favourite and let you know0
-
Usually* it's done by tapping a star after tapping on a contact.
*Different phones do it in different ways, though. My HTC is more long winded.0 -
worked out how to add favourites. like your HTC it was a little long winded.had to tap contacts, tap favourites, tap bottom left button then, add to favourites, scrolled through phonebook and added contacts to favourites
result!!!!
the favourites i have added are made up of larger squares all nicely lit up. the list of recent calls below not added to favourites is dim as in the screenshot.
thanks rusty you helped solve the mystery.0 -
sorry for the bump
Anyone else been hit but the SMS -> mms conversion bug. (ie any sms that is larger than 3 standard sms is converted to MMS).
If so how do you turn it off....

If you're using the 'stock' messaging app. you can't turn this 'feature' off.
This has been a 'feature' of both Android and iOS for years now.
The only workaround is to use a different app. I use Handcent, which is massively configurable, and has an option to not convert to MMS.0
