You're welcome silly moo. According to SlowFood UK the EU has ordered another round of horsemeat tests on food, with results in July.

There's something on TV tonight about provenance of food and I was thinking yep I know - and then remembered the Tesco Bombay mix OH bought last night oops. :o

Where have all the organic dried yellow split peas gone? :(
As a basic item I wish it was easier to get hold of...
Looks like I will have to visit a specialist org shop for these.

A&C have some rice/pulses on offer (dried).
Ocado have some of the large box Ecover items on offer and A&C also have some good prices on Ecover at the moment.

    GM potato trial...

I went to Wholefoods today and got some kale (£2.49!), nut butters, salt, oils and a few other things. Also got a vegetable juice while I was there. Its too easy to spend a lot of money in there.

The coconut oil still appeared expensive £9 for 500ml.

    The hazelnut butter is delicious.

^ That is SO true! It's the one shop I actually see so much I want to buy.

I've not seen hazelnut butter in the branch I use!! Is that from the machine? They normally have cashew, peanut, salted peanut & almond, though recently they changed from cashew to pistachio - which didn't really work (too dry looking) let alone I couldn't get my fave cashew..

Yes its from the machine. Since I was in the area I went in especially looking for the nut butters as I saw you mentioned them on this thread before.

They also had a chocolate and hazelnut butter.

No cashews but I wanted to try the pistachio, I normally never buy pistachios as I eat them all straightaway.

    Have you been to Vantra?

I want to try their nut lattes.

^ I've eaten so many pots of nut butter since WF opened! Maybe they will regularly change the nuts then, I really fancy trying the hazelnut or hazelnut and choc. The pistachio butter didn't really look spreadable at all - I love pistachio nuts to eat though, maybe I should have tried it..

Never heard of Vanta - looks really good though, if I'm up in that area I will def look out for it.

I have to get me to Whole Foods soon.

Brown Cow Organics has blueberry yogurt 10% off at A&C.

I have to keep DH on a tight rein when we go into WF. They were offering free manicures the other day so he went for a wander while I was pampered and every time he came back to check on progress, a couple more items had made their way into the basket. The chap who refills the nut butter machines knows us so well that he peered into our basket the other day and exclaimed "no nut butter today?" . That's because there were three pots in the fridge at home from previous visits.......

I've been looking at the A&C site this week and put a few things in my basket but not checked out. I've noticed that we've had at least one call per evening from their number (I don't pick up) which I find a bit off putting. May just do an extra Ocado delivery instead.
