I'm here though on the comps board mainly at the mo..

No recent shopping.. was just putting stuff on for an Ocado order, however, and noticed the Duchy xmas puds are on offer if anyone is after one. They don't seem to have added many more org offers than last week though.

I've had the St H goat butter and it had a nice smell (sounds bit strange but try it).

Nearly watched the Iceland doc but clashed with something else. I can't imagine I'd ever shop in there though!

Lol! Just resting up for the big Christmas run-in! :D

There's lots of 3 for the price of 2 at Mr T's atm, including Dove's organic flour and some Green & Black cooking chocolate

'Doves Farm Organic Rye Flour 1Kg' x2 and 'Green & Black Organic Cooking Chocolate 150G' is what's in my basket tomorrow (but whether it'll be delivered...).

Oh also at Mr T's: Epicure tinned organic beans are 33% off - so 66p for a tin, including Butter beans, Lentils vert, chick peas...

Oh, oh and Pukka teabags - some are down from £2.30 to £1.30, the 3 mint ones are good, as are the ginger ones.

smallblueplanet you should get the G&B unless Kirri gets to it first ;)
    only joking Kirri..

I've started doing a food accounts book this week because OH will happily let me buy food and eat it but though he can afford it, he is reluctant to give me ££. I don't like being overdrawn and want that gone grr. So I'm sticking to budget and charging him extra for Christmas food because otherwise I can't do it. I think if he sees it in black & white he'll realise (a) how much food costs (b) (hopefully) how good I am at bargain hunting !!!

I've had A&C Monday, got Riverford coming Friday and Iceland Saturday. So far I'm £30 under budget :)

My mother is paying for the champagne this year so I need to research prices. It's the only alcohol we have all year now.

^ I was looking for G&B on offer earlier :o
    (though Butterscotch and Crispy mostly).

You could always let him do the ordering... see how much it adds up to then ;) or just order in regular food for xmas and say that is all the budget allows!

When I worked it out for the other thread the other week, divided by weeks so far, I have been spending approx £34 a week just for me as a veggie (guess the extra I spend on the pet's veg is offset by savings from having allotment veg in the summer) and I get quite a lot of org stuff as cheap as I can and that is mostly stuff to cook from scratch.

Saw the Riverford meal boxes are now up on the site, not used them in a while so hadn't noticed. Too expensive for me however and based on 2 or 4 people.. but the site looks a bit messy to work out exactly what you get for the £.

;) Kirri, if it were G&B chocolate ice cream on offer though OH would be breathing down my neck to get some !

Noo, not letting Mr Artisan Loaf Lover loose on Ocado or I'd have a freezer full of Gail's and Daylesford and nowt else besides venison and G&B ice cream.

With Riverford you have to spend a minimum of £25 on meat whereas with A&C you can just add it to order.

Found this today, part of a range.. organic 'Dusk' aftershave balm from.. Herban Cowboy duh <shakes head>

Going to ASDA to get eco-friendly washing up loquid and check out champagne prices.. generally ASDA prices on booze at Christmas are pretty good.

Have a good evening everyone :xmassmile

Back from ASDA and own brand eco-friendly washing up liquid is 1.35 which seems expensive to me, what do you think ?

While checking price on mysupermarket I came across ASDA Chosen By You eco-friendly washing powder 1.80 for 20 washes :) and of course my local store doesn't stock it :(

    http://www.mysupermarket.co.uk/asda-compare-prices/laundry/asda_eco_friendly_washing_powder_20_washes_800g.html

Got ASDA organic Extra Virgin olive oil 2.50 for 500ml, which is 50p cheaper than the Napolina organic. I know the ASDA stuff isn't the best quality but no pesticides or additives and it's fine for cooking. When/if I buy better I use that on salad, in houmous etc.

Noticed that ASDA organic leeks 50p cheaper than Sainsbury's and trimmed too so no waste. The organic white mushrooms were 300g for £1 so 50g more than Sainsbury's for same price. I like the quality of ASDA organic veg, I'm just not able to find it much :(

Got Taittinger Brut Reserve NV (in the new gift box designed by Vitalie Taittinger) on rollback for £27 :D Baa-gain !! That saves 23% on the normal ASDA price and a tad more against the Tesco, Sainsbury's, Ocado and Waitrose price of 36.99 so verry happy bunny.

This is another sample box type of thing, bit like the Souk & Souk box but cheaper, not cheap exactly but may be good for anyone wanting to try org/natural toiletries. I've ordered from this company before but under their old name.
