It's a Plamil one ...I will be dipping my pink fir apple potato wedges in it.. Edwardia - I've never had Hellmans!

Had a look at their website, you can shop online.. organic chocolate spread for example
    http://www.plamilfoods.co.uk/spreads/organic-chocolate-spread?cPath=8

I think the full fat proper Hellman's is better than the mayo some chefs turn out actually. If I still ate potatoes that would taste quite good.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh! Special special! lol. I hadn't even realised either. Look at that cake eh, is it an organic cake? Is it mine? All mine? :p

It's a Plamil one - I've had their non org garlic one from H&B when I was going through vegan month and although I was sceptical it was really good, tbh I can't say there was a difference in taste from one containing eggs - didn't realise they did an org one too so snapped it up today when I saw it. £2.39 but may be cheaper elsewhere. I will be dipping my pink fir apple potato wedges in it..

I currently have Tiger Tiger egg free mayo, it isn't organic so may have a look out for that Plamil one.

I'm not keen on eggs myself but milk is the worse, even as a kid I would refuse to drink milk and on cereal most of the milk was left over in the bowl.

I guess everyone just has different preferences and likes and dislikes.

^ milk used to make me sick.. didn't help I was forced to drink it at school despite it coming straight back up, evil teachers  I've therefore always eaten dry cereal though only in the last year I've gone onto yoghurt with it.

Got this in an email earlier:

I can't bear to eat offal other than lambs' hearts and I hate cod's roe unless in taramasalata and fried bread (makes me throw up sorry if TMI). I'm not keen on pork, even organic seems tasteless tough cardboard these days. So yup, each to their own. I could eat sour cream all day but if milk is even slightly sour oh yuck  I lurve eggs though mmmm :D

bornintoit yep all for you hehe I've got Respect organic carrot cakes stashed in the freezer for His Nibs, 1.80 from Sainsbury's.
  • Hi,

It is interesting that Aldi sell organic milk. I must admit the first time I saw it I assumed it was a supply error or something but it had been there three times now. I think that they are expanding their range in general though as they have bread floors and yeast as well add other things they have not sold before.

We love mayo here too and up to now in our non organic state we have been earring Aldis and it is really nice. We also both love eggs. Infact my husband would happily live on egg sandwiches I think!!!

Will definitely check out organic eggs next. We had some from home reared chickens once and they were spectacular so I bet organic ones are even nicer.

    Xx
  • Loads of reductions (RTC on normal shelves) on chocolate in Tesco: various Tesco Finest, including Organic 75p, Black&Green few different ones 95p, Lind(not organic but well tasty) quite few different ones. And loads of cheap milk chocolate I did not pay much attention as I rather eat chipped bark than cheap british milk chocolate :)

blueyellowred thanks for that ! MAy check that out Saturday.

If you have an ASDA near you, ASDA Extra Special range has two organic Dominican Republic 70% cocoa dark chocolate bars 100g for £1 - one has cocoa nibs.

Dozey Crow if OH lurves eggs then he could have fun egg tasting. ;) I did this when I was looking for eggs. ASDA, Sainsbury's, Tesco, Duchy Originals from Waitrose, Lidl, Waitrose, one, What On Earth, Stonegate, Daylesford (Ocado) all do organic eggs. Plus of course Riverford, Farmaround and Abel & Cole.
