    I've been Money Tipped!
    Riverford order came today,:)
    Purple Sprouting Broccoli
    Cauliflower
    Jerusalem Artichokes
    Giant Chocalate Buttons
    Hummus
    Small Pork Pie
    Smoked Back Bacon x 2
    Rolled Beef Brisket
    Chipolatas
    Sausages
    Bacon Bits
    Cost £48.70
This may sound expensive to some, but once it's split into meal portions and in the freezer it will last for a while.
I think I would be tempted to order more if there wasn't a minimum order on meat but I know I would spend even more so it suits us like it is.
Initially I was put off by the min spend, but now we're glad we tried them. Having searched a long time for good organic chipolatas and sausages the seach is now over. The bacon is the nicest yet and cheaper than ocado but more expensive than A&C, but not by much and worth it for taste.
The bacon bits look much better and leaner than the packs from A&C and work out slightly cheaper.

Has anyone tried organic chicken from A&C or Riverford ? How does ot compare with Ocado or Sainsburys etc ? It's something I only buy on a flash sales or ys.

Good haul in Sainsburys last night
    2 x Organic Courgettes from £2 to 40p
    3 x Organic Chestnut Mushrooms from £1.25 to 20p
    3 x Organic Broccoli from £1.10 to 20p
2 x pack of Organic Chicken thigh fillets From £5.39 to £2.50
plus other bits and pieces including a large trifle for 54p and 2 pots of ricotta for 25p
Total cost £9.02 saving £20.30:j:j:j:j:j Don't feel so guilty spending so much with Riverford now.

well done on the YS haul rufydoofyM I've never had anything near that

I've had organic chicken wings and carcass with giblets from A&C so far. Thought the chicken wings better than the Waitrose and Sainsbury's ones and they often sell out. I prefer Daylesford chicken from Ocado though.

What a disappointment Waitrose was for me this morning!!! I was in the Stratford Westfield Centre for work reasons and on the way home I decided to go in and stock up on organic vegs that I've let run a bit low. There was little of interest to me, and NO kale, my green staple!! I left empty handed. Will go to the tried and trusted branch in West Ealing on Monday, then.
Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.

Sorry you didn't get any kale Quasar :( Reminds me that the new Easter ASDA magazine has lots of recipes, kale oriental style included. The one I fancy trying is prosciutto-wrapped cod as I bought prosciutto in Lidl this week only 1.99 ;)

Thought I'd post this up even though it's off topic as might be useful to someone. The Garden Centre Group does a rent a Grow Your Own Patch scheme at some of its centres

While we're temporarily off-topic - this is an interesting article. The authors think that the good quality, organically grown food that was being eaten at the time was behind the nation's good health -

Fascinating article, thank you so much for posting it Mojisola - well worth reading.

I'm not sure how a cheese board becomes organic but this one is supposedly :D

hi, I've never tried kale, whats it like?

I have a sachet of organic cinnamon (powder), I added it to my Alara create your own muesli at 2% content but they didn't mix it in with the cereal because they thought it might be too strong so included it in a small bag instead (excellent service), is there anything else I can do with it other than add it to muesli?

I bought some Dr. Karg organic crispbreads today to try. They're very nice, but extremely crispy!

Had my first proper trip to Waitrose when visiting family last week and bought lots of lovely organic things to try. I wish I had one closer to me, although I'd spend a fortune if I did!
