Hi all, got another appointment book but it's not for 4 weeks! Lovely sunshine here today. Had my hair done, it's lovely but it's gone really light. SS got back at 3am this morning. He still owes me dig money, reminded him before he goes and spends it all!

How is everyone? Found a fantastic shop at the weekend, everything was 50p. I was expecting tat but got some gorgeous photo frames (all etched), gift boxes, gift bags (huge). They also had toys (stocking fillers), mugs, calendars, diaries, fridge magnets and hair accessories. I spent £8, but all stuff for christmas!

Morning All, paid £5 to each of the cc's and £5 to savings this morning. Not updated my totals yet. Got a fancy dress party at the end of the month, OH doesn't want to dress up but I am. Going as Mina Harker (Bride of Dracula), so I have long black lace dress (if it still fits me as not had it on in a few years), black lace fingerless gloves, bought a mini top hat (with lace veil), blood red contact lenses (nervous about these as I've never worn contact lenses) and looking to get fangs. I've read 'Scarecrow' (brand) fangs are the best as they create a mould to fit over your own teeth but not sure what to get. I don't want the kiddies plastic ones that cut your mouth to bits.

SIL is back tonight so is coming over to get her dogs tomorrow. It might sound bad but I cannot wait! It'll be good to get my house back in order.

Hi uni I have been missing your updates.

Don't envy you the fight you are going to have with your in laws. Try to keep calm.

Maybe present them with an itemised bill, with receipts, or would that just inflame things further?
I want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

Hi Chev, I am going to present them with the receipts. Its been nearly £20 (thats only food and not including my carpet). If it had only been £2-3 (and no damage) I wouldn't have said anything but there was hardly enough food for the dogs. She's coming over this afternoon to get them, I can't wait to get my house back to normal. Not sure whether she'll already be there by time I get home or not.

I'm pushing OH to go get his license as its doing my head in always running about and it means I'm up at the crack of dawn so he can be in work on time (6am). He's moaning about this job (fed up him moaning as it means there was no gap between his last one which finished last week and the new one this week) as its less pay than his last. Told him he was very lucky to walk from one job to the next. He then started on how much I earn, politely reminded him what I do took nearly 10 years of study, lots of debt, eating noodles or beans and ending up skeletal and it took its toll on my health and then its been a fight to work my way up through various jobs! That shut him up. Also told him he's not getting to buy his full lunch every day. £5 (no matter how cheap the canteen is) is not on every day. Put it into perspective for him how long he'd have to work to pay for that. When he tried to say it would be less for me I reminded him I don't ask him for fuel money and then told him how much that would be on top (or the equivalent for when buses do run as they don't go there until after 6:30am).

Sorry, rant over! Apologies I'm really tired. The dogs woke us up at 4am. Then refused to go out as there was a huge spider on the door frame!

Dogs are away. House is getting back to normal. But I have a money dilemma. OH has paid me back some money £400. Question is do I put it all into savings (my cushion), all to Beast or a bit to each? Help!!

Well SIL disappeared last thurs without hanging on to see me, knowing I'd skipped lunch to get away early so I could see her when I finished work. OH texted her to say she'd forgotten their medication and did she want me to drop it in after work on the friday.......she said no just drop it off when e were through at the weekend. So OH texts her on the sat to say we would be through (as we were visiting my family) and she still hasn't replied! She's read the text but not replied. She obvioulsy isnt bothered about her dogs health. ....and obviously I still haven't got the money back.

On the Christmas front I've got a few more bits and pieces. I'm keeping a spreadsheet with what I have got, what I've spent and what I've still to get. The photoframes I got for 50p have given my budget a huge boost. Also going to make lots of HM marmalade as well. I got a tin of roses in Mr A for £5 (but now seen other tins there for £4, never mind :o thats what I get for buying early!), these are for my aunt and uncle, I'll also include a tin of danish cookies (Poundland) and some HM marmalade and wrap everything in cellophane.
