£5 paid my other cc, signature amended. Paid £100 to Beast last night but its still not shown up yet, I'm assuming they take a day to update it? How is everyone out there?
OH is at SIL's, he's taken the receipts with him. Here's hoping. Couldn't believe it when the alarm went off this morning it only felt like 5 minutes since I went to sleep!CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. Well that is the last time you are doing anything for them I trust :mad:Must use my stash up!0 -
Yes KW, on a sadder note my own laptop has died. Did I have a backup of my data..... no.... A friend is going to try and get my data back as its my wedding pics, family pics, my craft stuff and lots of other memories. I could cheerfully kick myself except I feel totally kicked by SIL and her family's antics. Trip to PCworld tonight to look at laptops.
I was hoping I wouldn't have to dip into that money I mentioned (already paid £100 to cc so have £300 left). OH wondered why I ended up crying last night over it, explained he gets angry about things that p** him off, I just get upset when things p** me off. Its the last thing I need!

Laptop dropped off with colleague thats going to take the data off it. Fingers crossed it goes ok. OH is worrying about someone I've only worked with since start of the year seeing my data. I said I'd be more worried someone at PCworld getting their hands on it!!!!
PCWorld , I went there last night with intention of buying a laptop there and then. They had around 30 makes/models on display and it seemed every one I asked about was 'out of stock'! I then got the sales patter from 2 lads that looked younger than SS! Politely told them the only thing I needed was to be told what was in stock. Turns out they only had the ones that were over 1K in stock. Er,..... No I don't think so. So after a lot of messing about and some very helpful people in Argos (yes I was shocked about that too), a meal in a Greene King pub/restaurant (bad I know, but we got 2 main meals for £9.95) I ordered a new one online. It means it won't be here till Monday at the latest but its on its way. Once I got the software I need etc it came to £700. A bit more than I wanted to spend but I got one I really like rather than one that would 'do'. I use laptops a lot and its good having a nice one for presentations etc which I do a lot of.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. Ah glad you got new laptop sorted out. I'd be more inclined to avoid all the sales bumpf from PC World and just order online or something. How convenient that they only had laptops over £1k
Hopefully colleague sorts it out. And I'd be more concerned about someone I didn't know accessing my data too!!Wealth is what you're left with when all your money runs out0 -
Waiting to hear if my contract here will be extended. Wondered where a 'friend' I'd made in another department had gone only to find out this morning she's finished up.
OH still dragging his heels about a costume for halloween. We saw a scary scarecrow costume in one of the supermarkets but the picture had a hat in it and contents didn't. It looked weird without the hat, yet when we asked we were told the contents might vary from the picture!!!!
Trying to keep the heating off as much as possible but it was really cold last night and this morning. OH starts back at work next week and should be night shift after a few days so it means overnight I can turn everything off in the house. I'll be snug under my winter duvet (I'll probably change it over this weekend as we still have the summer duvet and a fleece throw) so I won't notice the cold.
