Have you ever just had one of 'those' days? I'm in a 'meh' and teary mood. I know its mostly to do with the pendant. Its also as I've a family (OH's) thing to go to next saturday and they're turning it into a 3 ring circus. I really can't be bothered with it. But I'm making cakes for it (can't be bothered with that either) and if I don't go it'll look weird and I'll never hear the end of it. Just don't like how the most innocent of occassions is turned into booze and silly games session even at the most inappropriate times. I'm also dreading the dog sitting. Chatted to OH about it but he just doesn't see where I'm coming from. He says it'll be fine (in hindsight he's maybe saying that to try and keep me calm). Er, no I don't think it will be..... its for a month! Wishing I could rewind to when OH said yes to it and 'oh no sorry we can't we're doing x, y, z'.

Sorry I'm in rant mode. Its a family member's birthday (who we thankfully don't see or speak to) but I know others in the family including SS will mention it and really I want nothing to do with the person and nor does OH. Them and a couple of others made our lives miserable for a few years and you really don't need anyone like that near you or spoken about. So frankly why can't everyone else just leave it alone? They're not family, they're nasty.

Its pay day today. Not been paid yet but the PPI cheque has cleared and put the majority into my ISA and some aside to get gearbox fixed on the car. Going for a walk in a bit to try and clear my head and see if it'll cheer me up a bit.

If you OH thinks the dog sitting is fine. And assuming he hasn't got work by then, then THAT is his job....
I want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

  • Ah you're having one of those days! :p:o

I'd be :mad: if OH spent stupid ££ on jewellery for me! It would never be worn!! I'd rather he spent the money for us going away for a night ;)

'Family' stuff would make me a bit 'meh' at the minute too :o I'm at the point where I'll do what makes me happy and what I want to do, not what I should be doing.

How long is the spa voucher valid for? If OH isn't interested, can you use it in 2 lots? Treat yourself in the next couple weeks and then again in a few months? You still deserve some pampering whether OH wants to join you or not!!

And OH said 'yes' to the dog sitting, not you. So let him! Just you get on with your own thing :D

Hope you have a good weekend :)

Well I really didn't feel well this morning, thank goodness for the bank holiday and the office being quiet I got to work from home. So I went back to bed for an hour then got up and got started.

Paid cc's last night and amended Beast total. OH has borrowed money from me for stuff for potential work (granted this stuff was at a significant discount from what he'd looked at before, almost half price). I'm angry with him he didn't have even a little saved and so far there's no sign of work as yet for him. At least for him though that can change in a day i.e. he hears one day and starts the next. Although it also means if he doesn't get some work this week I'll have to cover his bills (mobile etc), SS can pay his own mobile bill (OH got him the phone at christmas saying he'd pay the line rental only for a year, I'm not paying that whether SS has a holiday or not).

I really can't be bothered with this do this coming weekend its been turned into a complete boozy farce. I'm making cakes for it so I can't really I'm not going at all though I might actually makes my excuses and leave early.

This week I need to get the hampers made up (gifts) by friday night and then friday make the cakes for the weekend.

    How is everyone?

  • Hello :)

I do not like boozy farces at all :p I'm happy to go out for dinner and a couple of drinks, but I'm usually on my way home by the time all the young folk are heading out!! :rotfl: Quite often I'll offer to drive if me and OH are going out to meet friends. Only problem is, OH can get a bit carried away (and embarrassingly loud) after a couple, so easier to cope with if I've had a small drink too! :o

Hope you're feeling right as rain today :D

PS. I wouldn't be paying SS mobile bill either! ;)

Still feeling a bit poorly HAW. Yes my OH does that after a few as well. I must admit I prefer if I'm going out to go out earlier and be home before all the drunken rabble venture out. Maybe its a sign I'm getting [STRIKE]older[/STRIKE] wiser.

OH has texted me, he doing omelette for tea tonight, with home grown tomatoes and herbs and some cheese. Yum.
