Blimey life is way way too short for that.
    Hope you survive the outlaws.

I know, he has strops about the most stupid little things. It takes quite a lot to make me go off in a huff. I'm quite a placid person - I think it's years and years of waiting around hospitals and doctors surgeries that has mellowed me so much.

Thing is, he went to the doctor last week as he has really high blood pressure. It's all of his own doing. If anyone should have high BP, it's me!!

I'm sure I'll be back later moaning about the in-laws ;).

    Hi Loopylou :)

Not that simple I'm afraid. When they come to visit, I'm relegated to the uncomfortable airbed in the living room. We only have a one bedroom flat. Means when I want to go to sleep, I have to get changed into my PJs as a hint. They still hang around watching the TV for ages though.

Not looking forward to 2 nights on the airbed. Especially with this cough :(

I wish!! They have never offered and I'm too much of a good host (or mug!!) to ask them.

I wouldn't ask, I would tell! Just say as I'm coughing so much at the moment I'm afraid I cannot offer my bed but I thought you might like to stay up and watch TV anyway, so the airbed is there for you. Done! :D

:rotfl: Nicely said!! They would probably think I was joking. I might give them a bill when they leave instead. What's the going rate for B&Bs these days?

Hmm, might charge them £100 then as I am providing food too. 🍴

Had a dreadful nights sleep. They went to bed at 11pm and his dad said 'do you want us to sleep on the air bed?'. I said yes please. He then looked shocked and said that I was supposed to say no. I then replied 'so it was an empty gesture then?'. Look on his face was priceless.
