Morning all. I was really pleased to see master bedroom on the list today as I did that yesterday! So just all the other days except Tues to catch up on then. My priority for today will be to actually take a lunch break from the paid stuff and put away the dry clothes from yesterday and do the ironing.

    Have a good day everyone.

I did mine too, just need to do wardrobe. Going to toddler group this morning. Not sure about weekend yet. I gather we'll see the inlaws but other than that, we have no plans. <goes to check weather forecast>

Grim weather here this morning. Kettle on, morning stuff to do and Harvest Festival this morning.

Morning everyone. I did nothing yesterday apart from the basics - due to pure laziness!

Off to work soon, but I will wash up the dishes first and make the bed. When I get back from work I will aim for a HHC to catch up somewhere on the lists.

    Have a good day all.

What about cufflinks for the gift? My kids got classic children's books and a load of twee silver objects such as money boxes.

DH has gone back to work, no sick pay there. Hoping he is ok.

dancemum, thats is a good idea, they are something you can put away untill old enough to aprechiate them and its not something that will date/clutter up/cause extra dusting and polishing.
hope you DH will be ok today

  • Good mornong everyone.

Off to a good start - bed stripped and WM already on
BR floor cleared ready for vacuum
    bathroom SS
    kitchen SS - DH did
    downstairs floor swept
    dead flowers decluttered
    everything compostable in appropriate bin
    paper rubbish in recycling
old lady cat sensibly keeping out of the way

I'd better keep going otherwise I might grind to a halt.

Regarding Christening gifts, my DGD received silver photo frame, steif teddy bear and a book of Bible stories and silver cross pendant, the photo frame is in a classical style so shouldn't date

dancemum - hope your DH can take it easy at work today.

jazee - hope your son's illness is soon properly diagnosed and that he feels better soon. Wishing you fewer worries today.

mrs-moneypenny - good weather vibes for Edale are on their way: hope your son has a great time.

optimistic-mummy - here are some more ideas:
    ...a plain photo frame
...a nice glass paperweight (there are plenty to choose from on eB@y)
...a silver plated / pewter tankard engraved with LO's name
...or go to a "paint your own pottery" place and decorate a mug for him yourself with his name and the date of his christening
...dancemum's suggestion of cufflinks is a good one and easy to store - and/or you could get him a tie pin
Try not to get things with teddies or other childish motifs because he won't want to use them when he's grown up :o

I have given up on flying this week because all the wet paint is taking ages to dry. Instead I am trying to list some more things on eB@y. DH is taking a big bag of bits'n'pieces to the charity shop on his way home for me :A

(((Hugs))) and GUAG to all who need them today.

Perhaps I should start weighing up the ingredients for the Christmas cake - I like to give it plenty of time to mature ;)
