Hi guys, I had an accident with another car, but this accident was not my fault, basically I was going over an big roundabout and was taking the second exit, I indicated to come off the roundabout.
The other driver was in the first of three lanes, she indicated right and she speed up to go round across me, just before the exit, she hit my side door and whilst the damage is not major, you can clearly see her silver car marks on my car door.
There's hardly any damage on her car, just her wing has a slight scruff and sticking out SLIGHTLY. Slight damage to headlight.
I'm 18, don't know what to do, my first accident. Can someone advise me please, was this my fault or hers?
My voluntary excess is 350 what does this mean?

Hope you have taken some pictures at the scene ( and preferably geotagged) exchange details and advise your insurance company, the excess is the part of the claim you agree to contribute to , so if the damage to your car maybe less than that then it maybe worth while not pursuing a claim (although you still have to inform the insurance company) if the 2rd party has accepted liability, your legal expenses cover will recover the excess you have to pay.
However in your favour the claim may go against the 3rd party for 2 reasons
a) you were already on the roundabout so have priority right of way
b) the 3rd party driver has driven into the side of your car.
Good luck but expect your next premium to increase in any event0 -
I read it as both vehicles on the roundabout. Other car is in the left hand lane and OP signals and then cuts across the other car to exit causing the T-bone.
In other words OP changes lane without ensuring that it is safe to do so,0 -
i dont know whether to take you seriously or not.
looking at your past threads and duplicates of many, i can see something is not quite right with you.
i'm sitting out on this one. i dont beleive you.0 -

My advice is tear up your license and stick to the bus. Just a shame its a 6 hour ride to Old Trafford.0

In other words, the other driver was overtaking on the inside?
From the Highway Code:
187
In all cases watch out for and give plenty of room to- traffic crossing in front of you on the roundabout, especially vehicles intending to leave by the next exit
