That's the grocery shopping over and done with! ;) We generally have to go to different shops for the bargains, tesco, lidl, farmfoods, heron! Kids helped with the shopping and were good as gold! :)
I really think my hubby is having a mid-life crisis....he asked me what I wanted for Easter! this is the same bloke who 'forgets' birthdays Xmas, anniversaries! :o I wonder what he has got to hide... :p

Hope you've all had a great day ;)
Just waiting for my jacket potatoes to be done! Third time this week I've had jacket spuds! :D

    Had mine delivered today.
(only cos of meow's heavy food, £5 e-vouch and a handful of e-clubcard vouchs)
Not many bargains for what we req'd. this week.

Do you do oven your jacket spuds? Not worth putting the ovens (top/bottom) on for just one (or two) even if blast first in the micro!

No work until Wednesday :) Had a sudden rush of energy when i got home and hoovered the entire flat, did my laundry and cleaned the bathroom. Got a letter from the leaseholder of the flats with a service charge 'increase' then I went online to amend my standing order accordingly only to find out the 'increase' is actually £9.33 less per month :)

I am going to the zoo tomorrow with a friend, I haven't been to a zoo for over 20 years!

Looking forward to having a drink on Sunday as i gave up alcohol for lent (even on my birthday!).

Have a nice Easter weekend everyone, don't forget the clocks go forward on Saturday.

Hope you too have a nice weekend bishopsgirl and paadzer ;) thanks for the reminder about the clocks! I once walked into gymnastics on sun morning at the end of a session because I hadn't put clock forward! :o

The spring sun arrived today but judging by the weather it's not gonna last!

ILC, I do my jackets in micro first (to save time) then in oven for crispness. I do prefer them in oven though :)

I'm just watching prisoners wives, anyone else watch it?

I was really wanting to see the whole list of "cool places to live" but can't access it. Maybe SueM could get it for us if she pops in. I think she subscribes to The Times. There were only 3 Scottish towns made it to the list I think.Kirkcudbright is very pretty with a castle and churches in the centre and a pretty working harbour, marina, river walks etc but really there isn't much to do here. Can't understand why so many visitors come although a lot are staying in Holiday Parks. There are beaches for when the weather is nice. Usually have a big art Exhibition in the summer and there are permanent Galleries too.

Glad you had a nice time elle.

    Enjoy your shopping Walwin.

I have been going to SW Scotland for over forty years sheils6 - with parents, grandparents, on my own, with partners and with my family - and I remember and treasure every minute of every visit...
There is something about the people, the places and the attitude that is difficult to explain unless you have been there..and that is why we come back ... although there isn't 'much to do' there is so much to enjoy and it is an opportunity to refocus on the things that really matter - family, friends and many acres of sky!! :)

edit to add - and I forgot to mention the sweetshops and Moffat Toffee!!!
:smileyhea Thank you to all that post comps - may the Comping Fairy return your time and generosity doubled!:smileyhea

The other day I noticed that a friend at work stabs them all over with a fork before microwaving them - I tried it and they come out really nice from the microwave...looking forward to doing this and then baking them - would buttering them before the fork treatment be really bad - or could it possibly produce the ultimate baked potato? :D

    Jumping-Dolphin-1896826.jpg .Hi !

Hope everyone has had a good day! Enjoy your extended break paadzer. It is lovely when a bill goes down without you having to do anything. Our boiler cover from British Gas went down and I didn't notice until I went to check "how much it had gone up"
I don't seem to have done many comps today. DH has had me looking up hotels for after the school holidays and we visited my parents too.

Love the mice jacket spuds ILC.

Is that you relaxing now FF?
