Just been looking out at our road and the snow lying on it is at least a foot deep. No-one can be risking going about. DD went to build a snowman just before dinner and the snow went over her wellies in the garden and they are long Hunter Wellies . (Ribena win) Not being used to snow we are total wimps about it - the drifting is scary.
Good luck winning the little petrol pump wingo!
gosh sheils that sounds bad, ours is deep but not that much
hope you'll all be ok x
hiya katie :hello: hope you enjoyed the lunch :A
just snow & more snow here  hope the rains stopped now for you & have a great evening xplease be a responsible pet owner & spay/neuter your pets, too many strays & not enough homes for them sadly.0 -
Supposed to stop by 8am tomorrow FF and then that is supposed to be it. It is the drifts that will be the problem then and everyones cars are snowed in. We are on a bus route so hopefully we will get a snow plough tomorrow sometime. (Don't get many buses!) Well stocked up with food and have plenty of wine too Walwin
Oldest boys are not going to believe us about the snow as they have hardly ever seen any here. DS2 is in the Highlands and hasn't got any snow.

Oh wingo, just read your post about the Irn Bru ad....I think it is hilarious, as F*nny is considered, in Glasgow anyway, a very derogatory term!!!!!!!!!!
Will catch up with rest of posts shortly, been on and off phone tonight
Well done on the Garlic win Fire**fly, lovely0 -
Wingo - looks like we may get away with not getting this snow. Agree about the coffee machine. Aren't you going to do the comp then? They are £139 from Amazon! Not impressed myself but will probably do some of them as DD may like it. See you have been off on your nana naps again, glad you are feeling better.
Firefly - well done on your garlic hamper win. Get it down you lass its really good for you especially with ginger. I always put both in when I am making soup.
EM - well done on your friend winning the cake competition, not wonder you are tired if you have been to a exhibition you will have been walking around all day. Good luck with catching up on the comps.
Sheils - what can I say, you seem to be getting the worst of it, sounds really bad up your way. Hope you have a good stock of food. Hope you don't get any more overnight.
SYLBIG THANKS TO ALL WHO POST THE COMPETITIONS0 -
Does anyone use the Tesco Clubcard TV? Just joined it today (it is free)
DD is away watching Towie Series 2 on it at the moment but it seems to have films etc on it too. Haven't really explored it yet.Mar Wins :- £2 GfK Media

Saw all the areas affected by the snow on TV news, really bad down your way sheils and even some roads in Ayrshire are closed and my homeland, Argyll is pretty bad.
Just had my cousin's husband on the phone, cousin went to Campbeltown yesterday to do a job there, stayed over last night and she phoned him at 2.00pm to say she was finished and heading home and he hasn't heard from her since. However we have found that the road to and from Campbeltown at Tarbert has been closed all day, they have no power and through my Argyll connections have just heard the telephone lines are down too.
I'm sure she will be fine but we can't help being worried. Her husband says she has plenty of identification on her and is sure if something had happened he would have heard, poor soul.0
