Its never stopped snowing here neither Sue, since about Tuesday! Its just snow on top of snow but as long as its not slosh or too icy I'm not bothered! I've heard some people winge about it but the kids are enjoying it. Mind you there was a serious accident not far from us involving a kid on a sledge he's in a bad way in hospital.

Fire**fly, was going to post a pic of my sisters dog where she puts treats on his nose and paws and he won't take them till she says he's allowed, but the pic was too big to put on!

I just tried to add it to photo bucket but as I just copied it from sisters fb page it wouldn't let me! I will add it then delete it so it doesn't take up space.

Morning all,

Guess what we have today - it starts with s and is white!
It is so unfair for the kids that it didn't come at the weekend. DD has a cooking exam this morning so I hope her teacher gets here OK. They always have the practical exams early for some reason. DS3 has to go to college tomorrow too and the car is booked for its first service on Wed so hope they clear the main roads OK. Saleman at the garage is taking the car on Wed which will be handy as it is 30 miles away and a hang on waiting on it.

Back to work today in the snow and ice. Quite enjoyed it when I didnt have to be anywhere but travelling in it on the bus could be another story

Morning all, DH made it home this morning on time, that's it now until Sunday. Hope Tesco manage to deliver today, longing to try some different soups out this week. Dad rang yesterday to say his meals delivery couldn't get to him, luckily he has kind neighbours and one of them made him a meal, there was no way that I could get to him. It's lovely to look at and great for children, but it does make life very difficult.

Its snow, snow, snow here, kids are off school.


Sheils/Ellemm - big hugs to you both. Don't quite know how I would cope if any of mine were so far away. Most of our live about 150 miles away except DH's DD who is in Kent which is a lot further.

Tink - love the mice pics. DD had 2 rats once but couldn't get on with them, they keps biting them.

FireFly how you are managing to get out to the birds etc. It sounds like you have it as bad as us. Lady rang me from Prima on Friday to say washing machine was in and that Argos Rep would ring me over the w/e. Still waiting for the call so don't quite know what is going on.

Was going to pic up the parcels from the PO today but think we will have to arrange for them to be delivered.


Must try and walk round to Sainsbury's as we have no bread as we haven't been out since Friday and haven't got room for any in the freezer and have used all the crackers etc up now.

happy birthday to Jessie - grandson was 1 on the 12th .

It was raning & quite mild when I went out to feed the birds for the first time - but when I took the apple peel from last nights dinner ( roast belly pork on apples) it was freezing.

Snow wasn't as heavy as I first thought infact our paths are clear now and the cars have cleared a lot off the road. It is still snowing lightly though. Hope you get your bread OK Sylvia. Our snow wasn't forecast so we don't have any extras in. Think the green milk is running low and we don't have any butcher meat left but we have plenty blue milk and stuff in cupboards and freezer so not going out if snow doesn't stop.

DD is a bit worried about her exam FF as she is only one of two doing the hardest level and the teacher only had ingredients for one organised and she gave them to the other girl. She is panicking the teacher won't have her stuff now and she wants to get a 1 grade.
Her teacher seems to be really dippy. DS usually manages to get up for college OK and he knows where to go now. He was late last time wandering around the college as no-one seemed to know where he should be! He has to catch bus at 7.30am though. Car should be OK it is only 10 months old and gets 3 free services and has warranties etc.
