My oldest son has been in Oz since the end of Sep too ellemm. He was in Bermuda for two years before that so we are getting used to him being away. He came back quite often from Bermuda but not sure what his plans are in Oz. Would love to visit him but with the 2 youngest working and at school it isn't possible at the moment.

Hope you are OK in all that snow Sue.

It's the cost of the flights that are quite daunting to me ;)

The flights are cheaper to Oz than they would have been to Bermuda! Have always wanted to go to Oz but not going to pay for 4 flights even if it was possible to get a time we could all go.
DS2 was meaning to go over for a year too but has met a new girl and is earning such good money where he is he has decided against it for now. Didn't like the idea of 2 sons being over there.

Well quite, I can agree with that! I was worried when my DS2 was away for a year and had such a great time in Australia thought he might stay, thankfully he didn't and is not that far away in Ayrshire :)
However you can't hold your kids back can you?

Don't know if DS1 will stay over there or not ellemm. He was working with PWC and thought he could transfer to Oz without any bother but he finished up going over there without a job. He is with Deloite now though so he has been lucky. Don't think he could manage very well on the money some of us have to!

  • I was on this thread and it was incredibly slow. i feel sorry for those on dial-up or mobiles as it must be a nightmare ...

They're not exactly pics, they're moving images ... they'll have some proper name, but I don't know it ...

nothing personal, it's just incredibly annoying as I got totally stuck at one point
