Oh I say!!! ff!! I never realised grated cheese would be on birdie menu, also mashed hard boiled eggs!!!! I'm on the case now!!! Just boiling up eggs and grating mild cheese for the wee critters. :)

My dear blackies love red grapes, fussy, prefer red to green :rotfl::rotfl:!!!! We have had generations of them here, and they are such funny characters. But ....... they do love their grapes !!!! :D I always have grapes in the house cos i love them but I always chop some up for the lovely blackie birds. Our particular blackie family have been here, generations of them, for more years than I care to recall!!!

Such characters and the wee robin, well, he rules the roost!!!! Small but .......... boss bird!!!!! :rotfl::rotfl: xxxxxx

Still snowing heavily here. Had a near miss was walking along the side of Sainsbury's when the snow fell off their high roof, just missed my back and Fred had stopped to change hands with the bags and saw it coming so missed it too. It came down with quite a force so wouldn't have liked to have got caught.

Sheils, thanks got bread etc. glad you have enough milk to get through until you can get out.

Ellemm - well done of the box set.

Alfie - it is nice to write letters but I can only use the gel pens as my hands hurt too much to use a ballpoint. Must admit I type any letter I have to do as its easier.

B.Sue - thanks for the link to end date. Suppose this will make people put the end date in the box more so it works better.
Think a newbie might miss where it is though.

Wingo - its annoying when you go to the chemist and they haven't got all the medicine in stock especially this weather.

FireFly - hope you are pleased with the soup maker, its very easy to use and also easy to clean if you do it straight away.

Anyone seen the comp on just for today to win £100 every 100 mins with the Halifax. its on until midnight but we have missed some of it though.

E: 21/01 Win £100 of vouchers every 100 minutes with Halifax (FB)

    SYL
BIG THANKS TO ALL WHO POST THE COMPETITIONS

Glad everyone is still coping and looking after the birds. We had birds all round the side of our house today looking for food. Haven't been feeding them this year as the weather has been fine and lots of other peeps do. Found them some food anyway and we now seem to have a bossy little Robin in charge out there. They have been at the window ledge too.

Our snow has gone! It is falling but melting before it hits the ground.
We took a walk down the town and got a few things just to get a bit of excercise and didn't get too wet. Glad the snow missed you and Fred Sylvia.

Hope you feel better now Katie. It is annoying when cups stick to coasters. I have done that often.

Hi all!!! Hope it's not too bad weather wise with you all, very cold here brrrrrrrrr!!!

Sylv - My writing does terribly deteriorate too, especially when I'm rambling on in letters :rotfl::rotfl:. Depending who I am writing to; if it's an elderley sweet pea, I tend to retype the letter in large letters for them (however long it takes me) and always apologise to them due to my poor writing. Typing can be a godsend sometimes. xxxx They never worry, they love it, it doesn't make any difference to them. They love the written (typed!) word.

Have had many communications from dear friends/family over the years who say they always love to receive my letters and how much joy they bring - so ..... guess I will carry on :):)

Katie, get well soon - big hugs xxxxxxxx Done the mug stuck on the coaster many times:eek: :o:o Many spillages!!!!! :o Pleased you got it cleaned up - mega star!!!! :):)

Sheils: Robins are wee devils!!!! Over the years; they have bullied the birds, my dogs, my cats and all other critters who dare to invade their territory. :D However, they are sweet peas and often I have been out digging in the garden and they are fairly tame and sit on my fork, or nearby, waiting for food and are really quite cute. Maybe they just like me cos I'm a food source!!!! :rotfl: xxxxx
