This is brilliant Sylvia - it has been sent off to DHs aunt already!
Thanks for chocs FF - still deciding which to have. Think I will have a malteser one the same as Becks. I think you should treat yourself with the voucher. I am the same as you always giving my prizes away but it is nice to treat yourself sometimes too.
Can't believe the price of the bag in The Times Comp - I would be too scared to use it! I would be like my BIL, who years ago was scared his fancy wheel trims would get stolen from his car so he took them off and kept them in the garage :rotfl:Mar Wins :- £2 GfK Media

I've gone posh this week. I've got a box of the 366g above coming later today!!! (they are/were supposedly 1/2 price)
(can I resist opening them?)
I got a box of them too but they are wrapped up and in the mail now, heading for S.WalesThorntons are my favourite - had great fun once with a £10 voucher in one of their own discount retail shops. We all picked nearly out of date things and BOGOFs and had a huge mountain to eat on our holidays:)

In the 80's we'd be in Thorntons regularly for broken toffee. Thorntons don't seem to have the same appeal these days.
I've got a small pack ofcoming for a little pre-Christmas treat. (the cranberry/Wesley combo!)

Morning!!!
Rather pleasant day here weather wise so decided to take a leisurely walk to the next village to post my letters and get bits and bobs. Used just the one crutch cos I knew I cud get a bus if need be.
Birds were tweeting, sun was shining, met friends along the way.Used the pelican crossing at the village, waited until the red light came on and the green man was flashing. I could see the traffic was coming to a halt so started to venture over.
Got almost halfway across when I saw someone had let an old codger out of a parking space place while the lights were red ........................
............ he put his foot down and I knew he wasn't going to stop :eek:
He didn't see the red light, the flashing man or me!!!
Thank the lord I hadn't been a tad further over. Anyhow, shook my crutch at him (tho then decided that was not a good move else I may lose my balance :rotfl::rotfl:). I have to admit I did call him something: two words, starting with Y and ending in D!!!No way should he be on the road!!!
Anyhow, I'm still alive and kicking (:D), so decided to buy a huge box of maltezers to celebrate my good fortune (thank you guardian angel whoever you are :A). Will be tucking into them while watching the x factor tonight. Enjoyed my walk back too from the village and met a lovely lady with the most beautiful pup, 8 months old - it looked like a teddy bear, absolutely gorgeous!!!
Have a wonderful day all - off now to carry on wrapping some xmas pressies. Sending hugs .... Alf xxxMILITARY WIVES CHOIRSHELP for HEROES0 -
