omygosh sylv, you should of seen the cake/chocolate stalls at the food festival i went to on sunday :eek::eek:
everyone of them had free tasting the selections were fantastic, chocs from all over the world, did savour a few of the liquer ones :D:j & the wine tasting :D :eek: tbh never realised there were so many diff sorts :eek:
could easily have come home a bit merry :rotfl:
roll on for next years :j:j am going to enter every single comp for tickets to it :j:D

Sounds Fantastic FireFly, used to do Farmers Markets and some fairs before we retired. DH used to make chocolate cakes and a carrot cake to die for, although to be honest it was a cross between carrot and ginger. I used to make fudge, the only problem with free samples is that some people just stand there and clear the plate and then walk off. Must admit that I wouldn't be able to help myself either I wouldn't be able to resist the dark chocolate.

Think they deserve every penny they charge as the stalls in those fairs are very expensive and they have to stand all day in the cold. It was the cold that made us give up in the end.

LadyM...believe me when your milk starts to flow your cherries turn into coconuts! I've gone up a size since having my kids and very proud of my bazookas (although I could've done with an extra size! )

Sheils, it's my eldest DD. she's thirteen in December and on and off for most of her life shes had various probs. thankfully something will be done now.

Sylvia, DD is getting an EEG and will see more specialists soon. She had an ECG and bloods today so we will see if anything comes of that.

Sue I didn't get any post neither today! Bloomin cheek isn't it...you wait by the window all day and he doesn't call, doesn't phone, doesn't write.....

DH has been watching 999 on the TV. It is set in Blackpool tonight and is shocking - you can't believe peeps live like that!

Ooh syl that car and fudge just looks too irresistible! :drool: I love carrot cake. When I was taking driving lessons my driving instructor was a great cook too (she used to be a cook) and she would make me a carrot cake. I was a bit gutted when I passed my test! :rotfl:

Fire**fly, I would be in my element at that choc fair! it's chocolate week apparently this week so no need for excuses!
