Too much liquid? Add more rubbed in flour and fat.

Thank you. I checked the recipe and it was the correct amount. I will try and add more flour and fat.

Has anyone got a recipe for fruit bread? I've used the one from the Panasonic bread maker but the dough is very wet and difficult to transfer to the tin.

Full marks to Amazon, ordered ice cream maker attachment late afternoon Thursday 28th Feb with free delivery est 7th to 8th March and it arrived yesterday marked 24 hour delivery :j

Bowl now in freezer and I am wishing the next 24 hours away so I can make ice cream. Does anyone have any recipes that don't use raw eggs and not too much, if any, cream? I have a compromised immune system and am already in need of losing 2 stone

Frozen low fat yoghurt may be an option then? I have lots of recipes which don't need raw eggs but they are all full of cream and sugar.

Can anyone help, I am trying to make scone mixture in my Kenwood Chef and it has gone really runny - what have I done wrong and can I rescue it?
Thank you. I checked the recipe and it was the correct amount. I will try and add more flour and fat.

The amount of liquid that flour can absorb tends to vary from bag to bag so I always err on the cautious side and hold back some of the liquid to see how it goes and then add more (from the measured amount) as and when necessary.

Sometimes you may need a little more liquid than the amount given in the recipe - be brave and trust in your instincts, remembering that recipes are a guide and may need small adjustments to give the required result.

    Happy baking!

Have used the mincer attachment for the first time today to mince the leftover roast pork from yesterday. Have used it to make some spicy pork burgers for dinner tonight.

Lots to bits to wash up but didn't take too long to do and was very easy.

Last night I made wholemeal bread dough and left it to rise overnight. I'm just eating a warm slice of it, and it's delicious. By far the best wholemeal bread I've ever made, and it's better because I mixed it in my Kenwood.

I just used a normal bread recipe, but used all wholemeal, and added a bit more water whilst it was mixing when it seemed a bit dry. I also added about 1/8 tsp of vitamin C powder (not absolutely essential, but it does seem to make a better loaf. It's cheaper buying a container of that from Holland and Barrett rather than buying the expensive dough improver from Lakeland).

It doesn't behave the same way as white flour and it kept climbing up the side of the bowl and wanting to go over the top of the beater, so I had to keep stopping it to push it back down. I decided to leave it to rise overnight to see if it would make it softer and lighter, and it did.

Used the food processor grater attachment this morning to grate soap for my washing powder! Not made it the washing powder before but hope it works as it'll be loads cheaper than buying in the SM.
