my kenwood chef of nearly 20 years has stopped working, I cannot live without it, but cannot afford a new one at the moment. does anyone know whether it might be worth trying to get it mended, or just use the money for a new one. The speed dial no longer works as it just starts whiz zing really quickly when turn it on, there is no control over the speed.
lots of people say, buy a kitchen aid but I am not sure as Although I like the pretty colours I have always loved my kenwood. Can't afford either at moment so probably a pointless question.

If you type kenwood chef repairs into a seach engine you should find a company of that name, I had thought of sending my 50 year old chef there for service and repair, but in the end treated myself to a new KM010, I did give their details to a friend whose trusty, but old, professional chef had died, she phoned them, explained the problem and got a quote, about £150 I think for her problem, she was absolutely delighted with their service, it was well worth her doing as she had all the attachments, which would not have fitted a modern chef is she had decided to buy new, she saved hundreds of pounds.

Have any of you lovely people made cinnamon rolls using your Kenwood chef? One of my colleagues brought some in yesterday and they were fabby. I've found various recipes on-line, but none seems specifically for the Chef.

    Thanks

I can thoroughly recommend this recipe. I've made it before and after getting my Kenwood and although gorgeous both ways it's really scrummy now. A nice twist to the norm.

French Vanilla icecream in the old girl today and the topping for an apple and sultana crumble to go with it. Both intended for lunch tomorrow.
  • Can anyone help, I am trying to make scone mixture in my Kenwood Chef and it has gone really runny - what have I done wrong and can I rescue it?

Too much liquid? Add more rubbed in flour and fat.
