I was thinking more that a mid terrace doesn't have garden access, so a bit of a nuisance for car washing, bins, bikes etc...

I would never touch a property that didn't have side access to the garden, and it's this what lowers the price of a terrace.

Mine does :) Private access in between the two houses, totally within our boundary, next door's house joined on over the top in a flying freehold.

I agree it is unusual though.

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton

Do you know the owners and the property????

Or are you one of those who feels resentful that other people own something you can only deam of?:D

I have bought houses before, but thanks for your concern!

Everyone knows the property market is completely stagnated now, and will probably fall further. Except in London, but given the prices the OP is quoting, I don't think this is.

If you'd offered the 110k it may well have been accepted, before the other party got a look in.

I would'nt take too much advice in here about offering.

So, it would seem the vendor also knew, had priced accordingly, and got a sale above the price they started at.

Your advice, on a property you didn't even know the location of, was completely flawed.

Still, the OP can look at the "plenty more fish in the sea" - but strangely, in a stagnated market, there might be plenty of sea, but I'll bet the fish are actually few and far between; and the good ones are as rare as rocking horse sh__

    Complete nonsense.

It all depends on the house, street and area. Some terraces are more expensive than semis and detached.

There's thousands of terraces in Mayfair and Belgravia..........are you saying you'd turn your nose up at them??:p

Yes! I wouldn't consider ANY property that didn't have side access to the garden, no matter how nice it was.
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

Couldn't agree more! The sellers obviously DID price accordingly, and even knocked a little off too. Then you get the likes of Annabee and her type giving wrong and bad advice!:(

The OP has now lost out on what could have been his dream home........:(
