I would say that when all switches are "off" then the light should be off. I.e. light should come on when an odd number of switches are "on".But where there are two or more switches, such as on stairs or opposite sides of a room, I frankly don't care - its inevitable that it'll be opposite to the "norm".0 -
You're right, just thought through the combinations. The OP doesn't have OCD, and needs to flip some wires round

But if he flips the wires around, switches the light on upstairs and then switches off downstairs, the switches wont match and the wires will need switching back again. Suppose if there's nothing much on telly, it fills the time in.:)0
