    Someone tell me what I've done wrong with the new thread

    Popped over to MSE Labs and learnt:

    Type "whatever" (without the quotes)
    Highlight over "whatever" (without the quotes)
    Open a new window and highlight the url you want to quote
    CTRL + C to copy it
    go back to first window (where "whatever" is still highlighted) and click on the world/link icon
    paste (CTRL +V) the url in and hit return.

    I have no strong feelings. My vote goes with the majority. (Or you as you might want to make the decision with your board guide hat on)
