Well Mrs Generali had a result.
She quit her job which had been misrepresented to her. It was meant to be a trainee accountant job which would lead to her becoming a Chartered Accountant but which was in reality an administrator's job.
The idea was that she'd become a SAHM and get a 'Mummy job', perhaps 15 hours a week.
About 6 months ago she had an interview for a job she failed to get but got into the last 2 an has cultivated her interviewer as an informal mentor. When she quit she sent this bloke a rant of an email about how she'd been led up the garden path etc.
He called and asked her what her ideal job would be.
"2.5 days a week in audit with paid study, grad role. In 3 years I've seen 1 part time grad job so it'll never happen."
A couple of days later he rang and offered her the job she'd specified to him over the phone!!! It turns out that the company just bought an audit company and needs a grad.
It's brilliant. She can raise the kids through their primary years and then be all set to kick on once they get to High School.0 -

I was about to say exactly what GDB said - is it only the fat and ugly who leer or only their leering that is a problem. I never noticed that you were particularly short (nor the other)Doozergirl wrote: »I wrote a post to michaels the other day about naking a recommendation about the shape of the extension on the detached house and talking about render. I think most of it has been said (possibly apart from stopping side escapes..) but would like to confirm that I have bras which creak. Possibly not squeak, but definitely creak.
I know the rest of me is liable to creak, but this is definitely a separate matter (two tone creak possibly??).
Thank goodness......my bra is not a freak! I am sure he will be relieved when I tell him he is not alone.0 -
the main problem with having a larger than B is the extra amount of strapping in you need when you wear a sports bra.
Otherwise, it's never been a problem for meand always underwired obvs
I like having big breasts and a big !!!!. I like being 'girl shaped'. I don't necessarily enjoy how that translates in clothes. Even when I was very, very thin, a curvy !!!! and breast is not made for most clothes. Or vice versa.0 -
I have a whopping keloid scar down my sternum which changed my preference. So wires are for high days & holidays.
Ouch. My mum had breast cancer and says that one of the worst parts is that she can't wear her pretty underwear anymore. It's hard enough dealing with the mental aspects of a mastectomy without that. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

Where my mel scar is a friend of mine has a very similar looking scar in the same place. Mine hurts, hers doesn't. I don't know if it is because in her case they removed stuff under the skin and joined the same skin back together, which didn't develop keloids. In my case I have had a lot of work done to remove what in effect is a large circle of skin (though the op was done twice, each time taking an eliptical shape out, the cumulative is more or less circular) so the structure has been changed more. DH also has a problem with keloids and they can be sore, though I know for a fact he doesn't wear underwired;).Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? I thought that there were specialist undies for post mastectomy? Or is it a bit utilitarian?
It is nice to hear that your mum still cares about such things and wants pretty underwear.0
