Snow in the Peak district today on my train journey into work. Always seems to make things more picturesque :)

Not quite in the same league as the Rockies though.

Even Radlett from the train is improved by the snow on my journey in to work.

Another very good garage day with most cars having 3-4 inches of very heavy snow on them :) Still snowing a tiny bit in SW1.

Another got married in a registry office without any family involvement person here - something else the NP are over represented with?
    I think....

It's snowing quite heavily here, but not sticking. There are five deer just behind our house ATM, and I have been transfixed by them.

When we moved here there were three, then one wa hit by a car:(. Now there are five. :)

My OH and I have just returned from a lovely visit to Southampton to see our daughter SB and her BF. We arrived just when the sleet was turning to snow and had a lovely lunch together in the WestQuay Shopping Centre Food Halls and left in the afternoon when the snow had melted. The Toby Carvery was our choice this visit for the Turkey Wraps with trimmings, it was jummy.

We are having to ponder which EA to put our bungalow onto the market with because the one that we favour gives a descripton of the property and contents in one large block, which I find hard to read and follow maybe age concern with me, then the other two EA's describe their properties room by room which I find to be, for me anyway easier on the eye.

All EA's give full floor plans but vary in the number of photographs that they place on the various Portels that they use on the internet. This makes it very difficult to choose between them as there is no right or wrong way, only different.

Ho hum we will work something out tomorrow.

Pope Benedict XVI is to resign at the end of this month after nearly eight years as the head of the Catholic Church, saying he is too old to continue at the age of 85.

The unexpected development - the first papal resignation in nearly 600 years - surprised governments, Vatican-watchers and even his closest aides.

Considering that he was the oldest Pope ever to be elected at the age of 78 surely this was only to be expected of a person taking on such a responsible and demanding role, maybe it may now be a consideration to place an age restricion on this position.

Entire empire decimated. Logged on to see today's income ... £2.50. Scanning down the income generators, not ONE of my sites. NONE. Nothing.

On investigation, it appears the ad server which serves all my ads (and other content) to all my sites has .... been randomly shut down, they don't know how long for, after a serious attack at the weekend :(

So ... now I need to find a new ad server, rebuild all the ads/content .... the first time I did this it took 100 hours. When I updated my method I did document most of the zones (over 1000 zones) .... but even if I could muster the enthusiasm I am looking at donkeys' hours of work :(

... not to mention actually finding an acceptable ad server before I can even do that.

When my OH and I lived in Glasgow we were witnesses to one of our close friends wedding at Glasgow Registry Office, that was in 1974 and then all four of us went for a sit down meal of Fish and Chips. Very low key indeed and they are still happily married.:)

Well, that counts, but only just. Facing parental/ sibling fury and outrage is part of the experience :rotfl: but one better avoided:T

My parents had a rushed wedding. Registry office, they couldn't even tell us who the witnesses were ... and no photos whatsoever.
