Hi guys....any room for a disillusioned person who really needs to be amongst nice people right now?
I like mushrooms.
Welcome aliasojo. :j
We have a couple of weirdos on here who dislike mushrooms but a poll I once did showed that 96.7% of NP's like mushrooms, so they can be ignored.
I'm furrener, NP's poke fun at me because I'm Belgian, and tell me there are no famous Belgians (apart from Eddy Merckx, Jean-Claude Vandamme, Plastic Bertand, Herge, Tintin and Bobby)
Owner of a 2.5 year old westie boy who is chipped and not gay, so gay marriage not an issue here.0 -
I just went out with my brother and his westie. I've never seen a dog before that does what this one does. He just doesn't seem to want to walk and has to be dragged along, literally. I've heard of dogs pulling on the lead, but this is shameful! After a while, my brother usually picks the dog up and carries him. He (my brother, not the dog) says that the dog often walks 4 miles, but my impression is that the dog is carried 4 miles! Young dog, a couple of years old.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0

Weird for a young dog. There's another westie a couple of doors down our road, 14 years old and that one needs to be dragged along also, but that's normal for such an old dog. Sometimes we walk him together with ours...being dragged forward by one and being held back by the other.
Westies can be stubborn though...if they don't like to do something they won't do it just to please you!0 -
Some dogs are lazy. I know an English setter who sits and refuses. No physical issue, nothing. My big dog would far rather be driven round the block than walk around it.
Dog dog would like to run for ten minutes thanks, but not walk, ever (flat out run or flat out on sofa please). Kiwi fruit ignores all gentle exercise recommendation for young dogs and if any one (person, cat, dog, bird out side is on its feet so is he.....running circles arou d them). But he doesn't go flat out like the girls, he likes to trot along a lot.0 -
I had a westie when I was a kid.
He used to get embarrassed when he got a hair cut and he always hid behind the couch for the first 2 days. I kid you not.
He was an strongly opinionated wee toad. :rotfl:Herman - MP for all!0 -
Is there a niceness test before one can join?0

Other examples of referees who have fallen in social standing to attest to integrity and quality might be :
Chris Huhne
Former Directors of Mid Staff Hospitals
Fred Goodwin
Bernie Madoff
All quality in their time....but not any more.
Sir David Nicholson - or is that a bit below the belt?
I see he's still in post, at least for now, but the newspapers have it in for him.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
