DW came home with a sideboard with a wine holder in the middle cupboard. That's an option. The problem is that it's so heavy if you want to move the thing.
I believe wine is best stored horizontally. This is probably why you need to have a lie down when you're drunk0 -
A meal has been booked tonight for the Kabayiri clan. I can tell by the menu and name that it's one of those pretentious places. I'm not going to enjoy this.
You also have to tell them 48 hours in advance what food you wish to order! What's that about ?

Was hoping to show everyone this

To get feedback, but the colours are NoThING like they appear on my screen, which is a pain.
ATM, we are choosing study colours, whcih has always been going to be a soft turquoise, a sort of sea ish green. The best of these in our light for a trad turquoise is actually spearmint (the name puts me off) but I think it's too dark and have suggestted the cabinet green colour and accessorising with a darker turquoise (roman blinds, backs of book shelves) for a smart but less 'closed' sea foam experience. Especially as he still wants the blue ceiling.
He is very undecided. ATM its the room that's least important to make a final decision on so I don't think it matters.
For the little hallway/corridor to the back door and loo I think we are going for this http://www.farrow-ball.com/mizzle/colours//fcp-product/100266. Which looks a bit insipid in a light space IMO, but I think when the door goes in it will be qlso my in there and this will come into its own.
In the down stairs loo (where we were originally goiong to have the colour above) I now like this
http://www.farrow-ball.com/stone-white/colours//fcp-product/100011
Which is much grubbier and grottier, and positively gloomy in a room with no natural light at all.. Which is sort of what I want. A nice dark place. It will look much better with the copper leaf ceiling (which will just be painted orange for a while) than the mizzle, which is just too insipid in its dinginess i fear.
I want to get those two right before the radiators get soldered into place.0 -

Most things on the menu appear to be on a bed of something or other.
I bet there isn't a divan in sight when we get there.
Anyone got trade description's number?0 -

In Edinburgh there was a Georgian restaurant. If the owner didnt like you he would ask you to pop outside for a moment, and then lock you out for an entire course!
You'd have to stand there and watch your friends tuck in :rotfl:0 -

That would be my ideal. Going out to somewhere and getting in a nice clean bed (with appropriate safty undershirts to protect from previous occupants) and snuggling up to eat supper/ watch a film.
I used to have dreams as a student about going to lectures on a bed with wheels and it was amazing.0 -

Xmas office parties do that, at least then you can understand they need to mass cater to serve all at the same time.
Otherwise I would find it totally unacceptable, I don't know what I want for dinner tonight, let alone on Monday.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. You may as well get a take-away and eat it in bed.
The number of restaurants that offer a take away service seems to be increasing and moving upmarket. Some nice little italians round here offer a take away service. Unfortunately they don't reduce the price which seems unfair as their costs must be lower.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
