I like it except for the writing on it. You know it's for wine, so you don't need to label it.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I've rarely stayed in a hotel .... poshest would be a travellodge for work. Certainly no room service.Twice a year minimum for me: birthday and Fathers Day. Mrs Generali gets it perhaps once a month or so. Probably slightly more often if anything.
Have you never stayed in a hotel with room service?
Room service I can understand, very useful if you want to eat when a city has closed or don't want to eat alone, but I've never seen the point of a "turn down" service.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I've needed a turn down service in the past. Booked into !!!!!! hotels on the edge of red light districts, venturing out of the room has often involved being hit on by cheap, greasy, sleazy types also staying there..... it's hard to find the words to turn them down without angering them (in case they're unhinged).0

It's so, when you come down to breakfast the next day, the staff know who was drunk the night before as they're the ones with melted chocolate in their hair. Those people can be given extra coffee/pain killers/bacon/local STD clinic recommendations as required.0 -

I hadn't even heard of "turn down" until somebody said the word a few years back, referring to first-class Atlantic flights.... so I looked it up.
Now I know there's chocolate involved too - new information.
Clearly a posh alert item0 -
Not to my taste, but that doesn't mean it's not to yours. I might post a pain picture later, which if most peoe don't like it might make it right for us. :rotfl:0 -

Who knows, we may all like it.
I don't want it, OH seems inclined to think that's the one he wants.0 -

It's funny, stuff with writing on it. I think I hate it, and yet, sometimes I feel the pull of its cutedom. It's a weird and worrying allure IMO.
The particular gripe is with tea and coffee and sugar things, or biscuit tins, I know what they are.
But then,If I object to it so much then why can I so easily see the logic in a day and age of privacy being considered important, do we still hang numbers on the front doors then?:rotfl: perhaps the names on things is for people less able to recognise tea/coffee/wine.0 -

Depends, for me I think it might be more mse, as I get tired easily rushing down and watching dh eat enough to feed a small nation simply means extra stop at a cafe during the day so i can sit down for ten minutes I think.0
