Mrs McT's current one is approaching 200k miles, has never broken down, but is now due for a change. Best balance for us between economy and comfort/reliability, but not right for everyone.
This is a Special Ops Skoda.
No need to replace it yet (it's a 1.9 TDi VW engine in here)

ETA: Here's mine (new in September), and I think I need some fuel!💙💛 💔0 -
You are so kind with your comments, I have been retired now for six years and we are prepairing to put our house on the market and downsize.
Our only daughter was born in 1991 when I was fifty and my wife thirty nine so she is our princess and is attending University at the moment studying psychology.
I thought you were much younger, too.
Your daughter is 11 years younger than me, as with some other NP's, and I think mine and Lydias are the youngest?!💙💛 💔0 -
My mum had a Toyota Starlet for over 10 years and nothing went wrong with it, at all, in that time. Then it failed its emissions test in an MOT, but I'm pretty sure she was done by the garage on that one.
She's had a Yaris since and nothing has gone wrong with that!“I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled.” - P.G. Wodehouse0 -
Another one here who thought you were a lot younger Bertie, my dad is just a tiny bit older (he was 51 right at the end of 1991) but your daughter is only 2 years older than my eldest.
I did finally get some sleep, think it all settled down about 4.30/5am..not sure as I stopped looking at the clock once it got to 4!We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
Also I do love my Peugeot 206, but I don't think it's the most reliable. She's like the saucy French girlfriend that spends all your money and treats you like crap, but you can't help but want her
Nothing has gone seriously wrong, but there are funny noises coming from the transmission and the brakes need looking at.
The daftest thing was that the end of the dipstick had snapped off (bad omen), because it is made of plastic. Some bright spark thought having a plastic dipstick in 90 degree oil was a good idea, so after heating up and cooling in the oil sump they snap off after a while. Stupid design. Had to buy a new one that I keep at home for when I want to check the oil!“I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled.” - P.G. Wodehouse0 -
just rang local car breakers and they can pick up the old ax for £100 on Monday. Didn't realise it was going to be that easy....0

I find smaller peugeots have pedals very close together. A problem driving in boots or chunky shoes and I only have normal sized woman feet. A fried of mine has size 14 feet, he can get all the pedals of his ex gf's Peugeot in one 'depress' but never one alone.0 -

Mm I've had some issues there, I have to drive in fairly tight shoes!“I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled.” - P.G. Wodehouse0 -
