Two mangos bought at M&S at 50p each. We've had one, and it was perfectly ripe. I had some misgivings, as we really are the most profligate generation, flying fruit around the world and then selling it at silly prices.
Yeah, we've got mangos too, with home made strawberry ice cream for pudding. Xmas pud is also available.0

I'm just checking out closing times this afternoon in preparation for a whoopsies trip...if too much is sold out then it could be a very interesting meal tomorrow and Boxing day.....:)
Our bargain shopping went extremely well, £32 fresh turkey for £9, £10 worth of sirloin steak for £2, £5 worth of minted lamb for 45p, massive pork joint (enough for two, possibly 3 Sunday roasts) for £2.45.
Mum and dad already have the turkey for tomorrow, so I tried out my butchery skills and cut the legs off to take down tomorrow as extra meat and then used my strongwoman skills to force the rest into my freezer.
James enjoyed his bit of steak tonight and middle son will have the other bit on Boxing day.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

Have a look here, it gives a list of devices and what they can read (ignore anything that is greyed out). It also talks about Android. It is more geared to libraries but its quite a good list of what you can do with what:

oh and if michaels sees this, there wasn't anything much in our waitrose. we did get 16 x 29p oysters though. that's our lot tonight
I passed up the oysters they had at our Morrisons today...think they were a similar price too.
Shame really but I didn't want to be messing with shellfish right now as I am absolutely exhausted and I would be certain to begger up and somehow touch a door or something with my shellfish juiced fingers and cause youngest to have an allergic reaction!

I do beleive I just heard reindeer on the roof.
Merry Christmas to one and all from a rather tired Michaels and his very over-excited family.
Special greetings to Lydia's kids and especially her DD who we all hope is feeling better for the big day.
Thanks michaels. I'll pass that on to her. She seems to be over the D&V now, I'm glad to say, and I'm now getting to the congested stage of my cold but have most of my voice back and my eyes have more or less stopped watering, so we are much better than we were. Not sure that our sum total of family health adds up to enough to go to church though. I think we'll do a little service between the three of us at home. Then the kids can finish putting the decorations up, which they were half way through when DD got ill. I've been impressed with how willingly they've accepted the inevitability of having unusual celebrations spread out over a few days. Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres. 0 0

That's great news missk. Thanks so much for doing that for us.
Have a great day today. So far I have DH in bed and went to drop some pressies off at my aunt and she'd had a fall so spent time on the phone to NHS deciding whether she needs to go to casualty. My cousin is picking her up in an hour so she's going to sit with her leg up and if needs be they'll take her to casualty this afternoon as our local one has shut so I couldn't easily get there.
Not the best of starts to the day. Still, hopefully going to have a lovely dinner soon with lots of wonderful peeps (poor DH staying in bed) so that should put a better shine on things.
