Workwear.
I wear dresses and jackets for work most of the time. All high street stuff, East, Phase Eight, Planet, M%S etc and my cosy Jaegar coat.I usually have a scarf draped about me . Have few decent hand bags and usually Russell & Bromley or Carvella shoes. I go for a business like but friendly look. I am glad suits are less 'in' as I look bossy.
Mr S wears jackets and trousers, mostly open necked shirts, the occassional jumper:eek: but will wear suits and ties,Church shoes for formal meetings.
His summer wear is polo shirts and chinos, and docksider shoes.
He also gets to wear Musto wet weather gear and logo'd polo's or shirts with his name embroidered on them. At times it is appropriate - large events - media etc, other times everyone already knows him and he does not remember the names of all of the unlabelled .
Stop teasing us blokes spiritYou don't happen to wear glasses and your hair up too, do ya :A
Ok here goes..
Shoes are 3 pair of Loake and 3 pair of Sketchers, 1 pair of Mizuno trainers (only wear in the gym or on my treadmill) 3 suits (one is Jaguar same as the car) chinos (blue n beige) only buy jeans that I have tried on, Next seem to be a good fit on me.
Bout 8 RL polo shirts and a few others (lacoste, quicksilver etc) 3 good shirts, a few casual shirts, Musto jacket also and a few others, like CK pjays, workwear bout 20 of my company polo shirts/tops in blue, black or red, 3 pairs of Snickers work trousers erm.....

Looks a bit like a furniture showroom ATM!
The sofa(out of shot) is a bit big for where we want it. A couple of things don't really fit right........consequence of the cylinder tank mainly. I wioll have to have a dresser (out of shot) either on a slant where I wanted it flat against a wall (in front of pipe work) or standing a way from a wall...hmm, or on wall where it protrudes a bit. Not sure yet which I will do.0 -
Most of my clothes don;t fit, suit or match. They vary in size between 8-12 for bottom half and 14-16 for top half. Most are from Maison Charridee. I buy pieces when I like them or think they'll fit, or will fit a purpose ... "just in case" .... but when I actually need something I've no bottoms, top and outerwear that match or are the right/same size or fit me that week/month/year. The few items not from that upmarket resource are market jobbies/similar.
I am very lucky that my current job is an engineering workshop .... so I wear jeans. The same jeans all week.
My clothes issues come from an unfortunate sub-set of normal: Very short, short inside leg, large boobies, often a bloaty belly (white bread?). Also, patterns swamp me, dark colours drown me .... and light colours don't seem to ever be popular/available in shops. I really need cream, lime green/yellow and some bright/light blue.0 -

Pastures, we appear to shop at the same store... I tend to look for charity shop tops because it doesn't matter if I wreck them at the library. Library work, I wear anything and everything. Generally trousers because skirts can be impractical. Quite often black jeans (blue not allowed).
Consultancy meetings I'll get dressed up and almost always wear a skirt and heels because for the most part, its the only chance I get. Working from home I tend to wear jeans. I have gone from not owning a pair a couple of years back to living in them now. I can't get out of bed and work in a dressing gown like some people, I have to get dressed, it is part of getting in the right headspace for getting down to work, even if I won't see another person all day.
DH tends to wear chinos because of the type of work he does. Apparently suits aren't good workwear for teaching breakaway techniques. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Glasses but no hair up. Just to help with cooling you down I am 5ft and plump. Did I mention aged 52 with grey hair as well.
Have you got a thing for Sarah Palin?
Don't be so hard on yourself.
Nothing wrong with Sarah Palin but I don't have a thing especially about her.
Is that who hubby likes?lostinrates wrote: »Looks a bit like a furniture showroom ATM!

Lir! You've got a proper house! With real walls and windows that fit. How exciting! It's finally starting to look like it might be warm. And I love the amethyst dresser/table thingy. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? I wear jeans a lot too as I'm often working from home, it's just easier. I agree about the dressed bit, I also think a separate "office" that looks like an office and works like an office and without "family" interruptions unless necessary is helpful too.0
