Tbh, while I would not choose it I don't mind it. Maybe they have a 'personal' reason?

Off topic and a bit of a whinge - posted this on another thread - see, I am very whiney (andexhausted).
Tonight on my journey back from London I paid to upgrade my ticket and got the last seat in 1st Class. It was £20+ but a whole lot better than standing for over an hour after a very long day.
My day return ticket had already cost over £75 and I had had to stand for part of the journey in the morning.
I would be happy to pay a few £ extra to prebook a seat rather than the random scrum when an already full train pulls in and you have to board. I am not convinced that first come first served is a reasonable principle when customers at 'later' stations will always have an unmet demand for seats.
If you buy online you normally get to reserve a seat for free.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Spirit, if you are unwell, and you cannot get a seat and there is space in first class they will usually let you sit there free, but only you, not accompanying passengers.0

Hmm - and I thought I was small govt economically and socially and I find myself 93% Obama, 84% Stein (even though I said no to subsidising wind power) and only 68% Johnson.vivatifosi wrote: »Same here. Though I've found it helps to have the right tools. I bought a scraper for my windows from the scandinavian shop that sells household goods (Clas Ohlson) and I've never had one that works as well. It just cuts through the ice. From the same shop I bought the best long-handled brush that clears snow from the middle of my roof and a wide squidgee that clears moisture off my windows quicker than anything. I'm quite pleased with my toolkit:o.
Respectively I have one of these:

I use one of these to get the ice off the windscreen:Baby MSE has been named Sapphire Susan Lewis.
Not my favourite but considering they are both in the media I think it is remarkably acceptable...I think....0 -
I sort of think it is fair that those travelling furthest have the best chance of a seat - on the way in cos they get on first and on the way back after those who get off first get off. Then again my train travels N through London and I get on with 3 London stops still to go so I get a seat which is cushtieI think....0

I think it would be fairer if there were seats for all, and enough trains provided for the people who need them!0 -
