Yeah but if you do vote you also get a kick in the nuts for good measure.
I'm with PN on this one.
Politics is a corrupt nasty business where the biggest charlatans usually worm their way to the top.
So use you vote for people who you think are different or stand yourself of you think you are.
Having no balls, it's not a threat I can take seriously:D0 -

If I didn't vote I think my grandad would come back and haunt me
Right from the word go he used to take me with him to vote and sit me on top of the box so I could post his vote whilst telling me that it was not my Constitutional Right to vote, it was my Constitutional Duty.
p.s. I love mushroomsMurphy was an optimist!!!0 -

Awwww, that's cute.
Except the mushrooms bit
Trouble with me is I know what I believe in and the party that "should" provide it but they all just turn out the same, say what they think people want to hear and feather their nests in their short shot at the top.0 -
We aren't voting in this area. Don't know why?
I googled and the voting website seems to think we are in Hertfordshire, but our police service have been taken over by the Met. I guess only London boroughs vote for the Met chief....I now feel disenfranchised.
Met Police belong to 'Saint' Boris but I bet you don't get a vote for (or against) him either.lostinrates wrote: »Curly dog got his first jabs today and wept the whole time we waited in the waiting room. Whata wimp!
Who was weeping, you or the mutt?Except that I am being denied the opportunity to say whether \i like mushrooms or not.
I am sort of with PN and SSSSS on this one - politicians are in it for the vanity/power trip and anyway how many elections have ever been decided on a single vote? Although now I am older I do vote sometimes cos I wouldn't want not to have it. After all it doesn't feel good that Europe can set laws over which we have no say.I think....0 -
Voting might have been worth it a generation or so ago, but now what's the point. You can choose between two different parties with essentially the same policies and clone career MPs with no useful life experience to bring to the table. You can't vote out the senior civil servants either...to add to that unless you happen to live in a marginal seat what's the point.
The only thing that has ever got me to the ballot box is livingstone standing to be mayor - need to vote against that odious fossil.0 -
Mutt, michaels. I don't weep over jabs. I will be worried for big dog tomorrow, it's a big op for an older lady. And I am really near tears over dog dog still. Especially now I need to take her back again. She is so stoic which somehow makes it worse.0
