Hi Scuff - enjoyed reading your diary so far. Have to say post number 2 read a bit like me 25 years ago - the credit card bit not the uni debt cos when I was at university the money you got really was free - hell I bought a car with a very small loan and my university grant in my final year! But when I started work CC companies fell over themselves to give me oodles of credit...............fast forward and although never been out of work in that time, have a good salary, got married bought and sold houses ,live in a 2 income household with 2 cats 2 cars and 2 kids ( OK one is 21 and forging her own path) my debts have waxed and waned a bit like yourself but for the last few years have we maxed out - in some part due to paying for DD1 to get through University increased fuel bills ( I have a very long commute by car 500 plus miles a week) So I applaud you getting to grips with all now - will subscribe and follow your progressBe the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

Hi Igamogam!
I'm [STRIKE]hoping[/STRIKE] definite once this lot has gone I'll never be in any debt again (bar mortgage, unless I win the jackpot!!) I should've listened to my dad years ago, turns out he knows what he's talking about :rotfl:
Been thinking about order in which I pay off the debts. 0% CC stops in September 13, but I'm currently paying about £18pm in interest (still need to find out APR!) on my old overdraft, current overdraft is 0% until Feb 13 and then £5 a day max 10 days (I think this is right??). From reading other diaries I'm thinking it's be best to pay minimum on credit card, pay as much as poss off old overdraft and then pay off 0% CC?? Not sure what happens with OD2, surely this means even if I'm 20p over I pay £50 charges after Feb?? I'm confused! Currently I've set 0% credit card at the amount on it divided by 12 months ish (works out at £125) and then the remainder of what I can feasibly afford atm onto OD1 (£75) but as I said think this is the wrong way about it...
I'll have a mess with numbers!September 2016 GC £21.37/£1200 -
This may well help with deciding which order to pay your debts off...

Morning hope your well

Maybe I'm wrong but I'd pay the OD1 off because that has interest now. Then OD2 because that gains interest next, Then CC.0 -
Morning
I agree with Hiddenidentity - I'd definitely pay off OD1 with everything you have asap. Your CC isn't earning interest for another 11 months so change that to just over minimum payment and put the remainder of your £125 a month on your OD1 to get this down quicker and pay less interest??
Along with the other £75 you can afford each month that could be nearly £200 per month of OD1 by rejigging it and I think you'd have a big chunk of the £1197 paid of by Feb when your current OD starts charging!
On another note, how is the Ebay box going? And step away from the online bingo!!!0 -

Afternoon all
Thanks guys, I thought definitely would be the best idea to go with paying my overdraft off first, pretty obvious really!! I tried the snowballing, that works out really well what to do with my old OD and new CC, but get a bit confused when it comes to my current OD, as rather than a %APR its a daily fee up to a limit (I can't read either, its £1 a day up to maximum 10 days, not £5 a day, thought that was a bit steep!!) I can't really put this into snowball as this percentage changes depending on the amount overdrawn but there's a time when CC is still 0% but my current account OD is charging £10 pm, but then it overtakes. I dunno. Plan now is to just concentrate on OD1, pay as much as poss off (at least £200 pm) and then I can concentrate on the other 2.
Lea, I've taken all my photos yippee-do! Just editing them and then I can be ready to list the things I don't mind listing at 99p, leave the others till free weekend. Have you done anything or you just waiting for free weekend?
Off to edit 94 photos! *yawn* if anyone's got any idea about how I can use a snowball tool with this funny fixed OD fee, let me knowhappy Sunday everyone!

If your ever listing in a category that doesn't have more than one pic free you can upload to picturetrail/photo bucket. Then when listing if you switch you tab in the description bit to HTML you can paste the link there go back to the other tab and it will post the pic in the description0
