Hi Everyone
Have finally managed to read the whole of this thread and want to thank you all for your great ideas:T
Just wondered as I already have some of my presents and have just cleared out the cupboard under the stairs and found loads of wrapping paper - has anyone started wrapping their presents yet or are you waiting till nearer christmas???:DOfficial DFW Nerd - Member 408 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!0 -
most of my presents are in the loft in bags as I like to wrap them up nearer to Christmas!! But I know some organised folk on here have already wrapped some up and good for them!!
I do think it's good to be organised, I was out the other day with friends and a couple laughed at me for having said I had most of my pressies, but luckily there was another mega organised friend and she turned round and said she had all hers except for her kids!0 -

I wait until nearly December for 2 reasons...
1) I love nothing better than settling down in front of an Xmas film (Elf is a firm favourite!!) and surrounding myself in presents and wrap. It really gets me in the Xmas spirit as I sometimes struggle having done all my shopping early!
2) I forget what I've bought people otherwise! Even though I have lists, if I can't see what it is I have bought, I'll think I've found something better and buy something else
I do already have the paper and tags bought though from last years' January sale :money:0 -
I don't like to wrap my pressies till just before I give them, part of the pleasure of buying early is looking at what you have bought! Also, I forget who has got what.
Loved the idea of a cold hamper for my DD1, she always gets colds in the winter, it sounds a fantastic idea, will include chocolate as well as she is a chocoholic, will probs get some Benelyn and Beechams too :j .
Stop giving me ideas you lot, all I want to do is shop for prezzies!!
I :heartpuls SHOPPING
(Unfortunately I don't have any money to spare. which is why I have debts. oh well I can worry about them AFTER Xmas):rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:0 -
Just wanted to say Hi! I''m a regular on the flylady thread and have just found this thread. Its great so many others like Christmas and look forward to it as much as me. I'm moving in a couple of weeks and can't wait to be settled in and then I'm starting to really plan for Christmas.
I've already brought all my wrapping paper, tags and some cards in the sales and have a stash left over from other years. Got a couple of pressie from Boots January sale which were fab bargains, spent about £60 (got birthday ones too) and it would have been about £150. Will definatley be doing that again next year.
Have been making hampers for people for a few years but have got some great ideas from this thread - looking forward to being part of the thread and to Christmas!Lightbulb moment 15th Feb 2007:doh: Now Debt Free and plan on it staying that way!

QUEEN BESS - whos the guy in your picture?? he looks alot like Jared Leto.Secondly as far as wrapping is concerned that is a christmas eve tradition of mine - ive done it every year since my son was born. i wrap all of his , bfs, my step sons, mil + fils presents on christmas eve and if its people im not seeing i will wrap there presents on christmas eve eve and me and ben go delivering them on christmas eve day. I love sitting down, christmas tree lights on, cup of hot chocolate (or coffee depending on how many gifts i have to wrap) with the nightmare before chrismtas on the tv, surrounded by wrap/tags/cellotape and watching bf assemble soem god awful gadget ready for ben in the morning - BLISS!!!Time to find me again0

This man is the lovely Richard Armitage! (Guy of Gisborne in Robin Hood and Harry in Vicar of Dibley). Not the best photo of him, but it does for me! The better ones are the 2 signed photos I have on him on my wall at work! I'm surprised I get any work done!
Anyway, Christmas wise: Am thinking of cashing my vouchers in now as I probably won't get much further with pigsback this side of Christmas ( not with 730 points needed to get to 4000!). Thankfully John Lewis vouchers are back, but still debating whether to go for Boots or JL - HELP PLEASE!! Have 2185 on lightspeed, so also probably won't get up to 3000 before October time, so I think this week will be cashing in time!
Must also get back into knitting. Am halfway through a scarf and decided today who that could be given to, so must get back into that, have neglected over recent weeks!Official DFW Nerd Club #20  Proud To Be Dealing With My DebtsDFW Long Hauler #109
