Sold a Celine Dion CD on ebay the other day which had a fair few festive songs which is now on my pc for playing when i want to feel festive
BBC Midlands Today had a story about Christmas puddings the other day , they looked rather nice:D but the biggest one sells at £22 :eek:Debt of £6300 cleared in 5 years, now ZERO0 -
I've been lurking around this thread for a while but I can finally join! Bought two pressies for my OH's stocking today, both complete bargains (£1 and £3). Not much, but a start0

Oh Bibbitybob those bits and pieces are the best! I think all those wee things are what really makes Christmas gift giving personal. Especially all those daft things that you wouldn't have the energy to run around and get in December!I got food in my belly and a license for my telly
And nothing's going to bring me down0 -

You place them on top of your mug of tea/coffee and the heat rising from the drink makes they go soft and the caramel inside a bit gooey. Delish.
They sell them in Lakeland shops too, but they cost twice as much .
We have those here in Wales called Tregroes Waffles. Available widely here but also available in Harrods, Harvey Nicks, etc, you can also order them from their website: http://www.tregroeswaffles.co.uk/
(I haven't actually tried these yet but might just give them a go, purely in the name of research for my afternoon tea hamper!)Cos I don't shine if you don't shine.0 -
Hi All
Thanks for the replies regarding the wrapping of christmas presents, guess I better wait till nearer the time! lol :rotfl:
I suppose it was a bit premature of me - just thought it would save finding a place to keep all of the rolls of wrapping paper I found
Bought another couple of small pressies yesterday for my nephews and am deciding who else to knit for so that should keep me busy anyway!
Keep up the good ideas:T

I agree some of the stuff is worth more than £5 but part of the offer which makes it a bargain.I got a dora the explora colouring set, a tinkerbell cardmaking set, a hello kitty umbrella, pack of door beads and poodle bag for £5 which at full price would have cost at least £25.great pressys for my 4 nieces ad sometimes for myself!:DLove can tame the wildest0 -

I can guarantee you won't be disappointed, they are so scrummy!...it is not of more importance than daily life, which I have an enduring wish to make as useful and beautiful as possible.

I posted a link to this website last year when I discovered it.
As lots more people are starting to look at this thread and think about pressies and making hampers I thought I'd post it again.
The bags are really nice. I bought one for myself last year and gave my mum the nan one from my DS for her birthday and she was thrilled with it.
Hope it helps someone.

Thanks for the encouragement somethingaboutshopping
I'm recently self employed so I have no way of knowing if I'll have money coming in at Xmas so I think buying little bits as I go along is going to be the best way!
I bought a few hair butter samples from Anita Grant's website last night too - fab for stockings and hampers (OH has coarse, wavy hair and gets a bit girly over it).
ETA: Apparently they last ages too, if anyone's interested! (no affiliation!)0
