Thought I'd revive this from the depths of the forum (pg 10 :rotfl: )
REALLY need help still...
I've made my mum's basket up but it looks really really bare! I'll post a pic later to show you, but its a large wicker basket from Poundland, probably 50cmx40cm and quite deep. I've put in it a large bath sheet from Primark £7, a white scented candle £1.50 from Au Naturale, Some Chocs from Boots (Free with AC Points, should be £5), a mini bottle of wine £1.50 and a White Collection Soap bought in the Boots sale for £1.50, reduced from £5. I need a couple of fairly chunky bits to fill the void but I'm really limited on budget now so must be cheap. Also, must be white/black/posh looking!!! Any ideas?
Also, have no idea for a family present for a 25yo colleague, her 27yo partner, and boys 6yo and 3 month... They're quite a hippyish/eco-friendly... budget of £5-£10...
And exFIL, budget of around £10, though I'm not so worried by this one as I'll no doubt get a copy of his Xmas list a week beforehand
White or black things for mum's basket:
All from boots (just did my shopping their at their xmas shopping evening!)
Bath creme, 59p

White honeycomb sponge 90p:

White polishing sponge, £1.99:

Diesel perfume, £4.99 (was £20!):

For your 25yo colleague who is eco friendly, my suggestion for the festive fivers competition might be good, check it out:
http://www.breastcancercare.org.uk//content.php?page_id=10179
It's a breast cancer care awareness eco-friendly re-usable shopping bag. It only £5 plus postage, looks good, isn't plastic and all profits donated to breast cancer care.
For the kids, might I suggest these:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Noughts-Crosses-Black-White-Sheep/dp/B000TAPA4W/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=personal&qid=1196371471&sr=8-1
I actually sell these myself on amazon and at christmas fairs, they go down an absolute treat with all kids and adults!!! This is not self promotion, I just had to show you because they are awesome gifts. I sell them for only £5 at fairs, so if you want one at that reduced price (plus postage) pm me, I am happy to help a fellow MSE'er out.
Also there are some great kids gifts on boots, just go to the christmas section and select gifts under £5 and it has loads of ideas.
Oh yeah, and I found this for the kids on play:
http://www.play.com/Gadgets/Gadgets/4-/173449/20Q-New-Version/Product.html
It's 20 questions game, only £7 inc postage, and it's great fun, me and my husband played it for about half and hour in Borders book last weekend!
Play might be a good place to look for the 27yo guy, in the gadgets section:
