Sorry about the pic above. Can't make it smaller. These were on 2 shelves in T's, a stationery special and normal area.one shelf had a £4.00 SEL, but all scanned @1p B/C ends 141531.
Also:
Transformers stationery set 1p
Cadbury wishes bag 128 grams 1p
Tesco party ! pink striped candles and holders 1p
Black damask paper napkins already on here 1p
Heinz tomato ketchup napkins 5p
I did 2 hand scans, both selected for random check as usual, but those check scanners just seem to have the item and how many on not the price, then both shops reselected for something else, the first time was the candles, no idea why the second time. The s/a looked through the whole list on the screen and asked what the 1p essentials sets were, so I just said it was some cheap pens reduced to clear in the sale. all goodStill virtually alcohol free since 4/1/15. (10 Xmas/ New Year/Birthday drinks)

I got the Pentel pen set at Edgbaston, Birmingham. However, some of them were scanning at £8 instead of £4 liked the SEL, so good opportunity for DTD. I couldn't do it because all I had in my basket was 1p stuff and also didn't have the £8 anywayYou'll have to speak up; I'm wearing a towel0

If you ever have trouble with a sales assistant not letting you have your 1p bargain, ask for a supervisor, or manager as usually these reductions are head office directed, but because it's an unbelievable price some sales assistants will try an stop it (It's good initiative, but in these cases, misguided).
These products that go down to stupid prices are almost always because they need to clear them out of the business, The chances it's a computer glitch are perhaps 1 in a 100 (it does happen, there was once an error in a company I used to work for where bottles of coke were put on half price and bogof simultaneously, and as most stores only download price changes overnight, it was live for an entire day, considering coke 500ml bottles was in the top 10 sale lines, it was a costly error).
Alot of the christmas stock (like lindt chocolates), has been going down in increments to try and sell as much as possible for the most money. Now it's crunch time where holding the stock is actually a cost to the business, they'll just clear it out at a loss. This is more prominent with date code stock, as seasonal gifts can be recalled and resold, or placed in storage if viable.
Anyway, my wee ramble over...0 -
